    The world needs Richard Rohr, for sure. What an antidote to the American Fundamentalism and Christian Nationalism today. Humble, all encompassing, articulate. Thank you for posting this. It's fabulous.

    He’s Bringing Christianity into a real present time understanding
    Thank you Fr Rohr!
    We need this! The Church is losing parishioners by the 1000’s
    Something has been missing in our childhood beliefs which is why so many leave when they reach the age when people think for themselves .

    Being a part of the CAC, and hearing/reading your understanding of Christianity (which had been my hidden understanding always-but I was shamed for my belief that God was Love) gave me permission to be a Christian, a Catholic (Universal) and to carry the message I Know is true through the experience of Grace and Good in my own experience. Thank you.

    You sound like my father. That God is for all, and has saved all, so all of creation has been reconciled, and our fellow humans are our brothers and sisters, they may not know it, but they will... someday. And that is our heaven on the earth, which is our church.
    Loved the video

    Thank you so much for this, Fr. Richard. This gives me hope and for the world, for humanity, and for all of God's beautiful beings and creations. I was raised Catholic, but left the religion after hurtful experiences with the church. It didn't feel the way I felt in my heart that loving, inclusive spirituality should feel. So I turned to earth spirituality. Recently I discovered this new form of Christianity and Franciscan Mysticism and it makes more sense to me than I can say in words. Thank you.

    Mystics know- inwardly- their lack of God as well as his presence. “I believe; help my unbelief!” Let's stay open to the option of not knowing.

    Love Father Rohr and his profound teaching. Too bad the church does not recognize that its teaching on Original Sin is entirely wrong. Yes, we all need the sacrament of reconciliation for our mental and spiritual health. However, as I discovered in my awakening, we are inherently good and are in Truth, sparks of the very Divine. I grew up Catholic and my church was Sacred Heart Church. The images of Jesus pointing to a flame in his heart, I never understood until my inner practice of centering prayer and contemplation revealed the Divine flame within my own heart. This very flame is our own Divine Soul. We are Divine. We are little gods evolving out of matter. We become whole Divine Spiritual Beings and whole Humans at the same time...just like Jesus. I feel we Catholics miss the message. Jesus was teaching us that we are just like him and if we follow him to the cross and surrender to our own crucifixion (death/rebirth) we will become awakened to our own Divine Nature. Amen.

    Feast on Christ most sublime in the eucharist, it takes a bit more effort to do so in the proclamation. But to feast off Christ in your neighbor is the most challenging. Most feast off something else in their neighbor in order to build themselves up. Father, does this sound good in your hearing? I'm new to this.

    And in Christs crucifixion there was one on the left ,and one on the right. He’s what unifies all thing and divides. He’s both from beginning to end.

      One of the most beautiful things about Franciscan Mysticism is that it points to a more expansive understanding of God. It tells us that we are all part of God without becoming anything because we already are. You may or may not agree, but I prefer this perspective.

    Shame is universal to evolving Souls. Shame is the enemy of humanity. We are all carrying loads and loads of shame. Until this shame wound is confronted, purged, and healed, it is impossible to truly realize our own Christ Nature. The teaching of original sin deeply wounds Souls and the church should evolve, grow up, and revise this harmful teaching and change it to "all Souls are inherently good" and are G-d's own children regardless of what they believe and regardless of what religion they belong to. G-d's love transcends all religions.

    Unfortunately what we are is mimics we copy those around us original thought is extremely rare you can probably name them ,the answer is not in the mystics nor in any teaching of man but by learning of Jesus and the spirit if you can listen and be aware of their presence, no true mystic wants you to follow them they want you to find and follow the spirit.

    Why does everybody mix in new age background noise to this man’s talks? It’s making me crazy.

    • @DivineMissionaries
      @DivineMissionaries  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The main thing here is finding balance - while some audio enhancement can help bring life into many talks, it should never become so overpowering that it takes away from what’s being discussed and ultimately leads people away from what’s important instead of directing them towards it. That being said, though, I totally understand why high levels of background music would bother someone - after all, you want to ensure that whatever message you are conveying isn't lost in rhythm distractions! I appreciate the feedback and will adjust future videos.
