Brent is his name, the man who saved him. So many times in recent years, the word HERO gets thrown around, like the word literally does lol. But Brent is literally a HERO. Good job mate!!
I like Jenny, but maybe she should wait to see if Ashton is ready to have a laugh about almost dying before she cracks a joke. I'm sure she was just trying to lighten the mood, but it felt really awkward.

Across the nation I watched the show and dad was in the Navy - ships are no place to goof... it can be dangerous. When Captain Lee replayed what happened to the crew, I broke down cried, damn lucky. Again thank you you are a hero! Bravo!
is there a way that riley could have grabbed him more preventing him falling in. or was the water pressure too strong pulling the rope?

The staff should have been trained on this and drilled as their first skill level training. I don't understand how they could have been so unprepared. And it was almost two men overboard cuz Riley's foot was close to being wrapped in that wrote to
they knew that. what happens is when you are tired and overworked it impairs brain judgement. and adding heat on top of that. to prevent fatigue I think maybe they need extra staff to cover both inner and outerboat. so if someone is let go or sick, then they still have that extra person.

She was supposed to report right away. The line was impossible to take off unless the boat was stopped first. Brent came in as the boast stopped.
The camera man had to put the camera down and stop doing his job so that he could do hers.

Do you work at sea or ok boats? If someone jumped in after him then there would potentially be two people that need rescued

Apparently. When he released the line he prevented it from pulling taut, which probably would've ripped off his foot. It looked terrifying.

@@heypiggy For sure - he basically saved his life. Like they said on the episode, if his foot got cut off, he would've bled out before anyone could've gotten to him.
@@dawntexada9782 Lee said he immediately switched gears and stopped after hearing Rhylee say "man overboard". he did hear her but he said it was so quiet that he was in disbelief for a sec. if she waited a little longer to signal it, he could've been dead

This wasn't a desirable situation but I never viewed it as big of a deal as it's being presented. You can lose your life in a car wreck but would you really get emotional like all them, even months after it happen? He could've died but he didn't? Why does everyone seem emotionally stuck on a scenario that never even happen?🤔 Maybe I just lack these emotions..
If I was in a potentially near-death situation like that, I would probably carry the weight of that for a while. If you're getting off a subway and your jacket gets stuck in the door as it starts to move, but you manage to get it off before you get dragged off, would you find that scary? No judgment - I was just trying to think of another scenario that might be similar. I don't think I could shake it off that quickly, especially if there was footage of it and I watched it again.
Once he was in the water he was dragged by the yacht and he felt the pressure of the ropes about to take off his foot...he mentioned it in another video.....in 2 minutes he was about to lose his foot and bleed out so I mean yeah I think you do lack emotion. How about you get your foot caught between ropes get thrown into the water and be dragged by a yacht trying to keep your head above water realizing that you can't get the ropes off your foot yourself it's tightening around your ankle....and then have everyone act as if you didn't almost die. Ignorance isn't always bliss.
Clearly you do like these emotions. Unless you're a witness to a car wreck you're not going to carry the what ifs after a wreck but when you're aboard a small boat like that and someone fall in the water and is getting dragged under you are essentially standing there watching them die because the waters out there are very clear and you can see everything that is going on. Why can't you just say God bless or whatever comforting statement you might use and move on
@Blackfoot God bless or whatever statement you need to move on.. I didn't attack anyone here. I've been in many near death situations so sorry that I may have become numb to it. If you watched Andy interview Captain, you will see that Andy was taken back by the emotions just as much as I was. I am understanding that some people lives comfortable lives and aren't usually exposed to their life being threatened. I could relate to the amount of emotions Ross had. 🤷🏼♀️ I wasn't being ugly towards it.

They basically all heard over the radio that he was going to drown and they mentioned many times that Ashton was very lucky. He went overboard and was being dragged by a yacht.... I guess some people like you Actually have to be in situations like this to have any capacity to understand.
