As a gt500 owner, this new GTD looks incredible. It's basically everything they learned from the gt350 and gt500 and Ford gt implmented into one Mustang.
You are exactly the type of owner I would think Ford would want to have this amazing vehicle. You track your cars,AND post it all on your channel for a large audience of enthusiasts. Even though very few can afford one or get an allocation it will help sell other Mustangs.
Sponsorship is needed, if they put magnesium wheels on then why did they need the cup 2rs tires. If available them tires cost twice as much as the ones on the corvette.

Due to the limited production (which is also on purpose) you need to have a certain history with Ford for you to be able to get one. You don’t chose, they chose you. I don’t think the under $500K crowd wants one…This car is still on pump gas. There’s plenty of fully built boosted S197s which cost a fraction of this that go on either pump or ethanol fuel with greater whp numbers. This is the “built” version for the exotics crowd.

After looking at the suspension components, this is all handbuilt for racing. Old nascar rule of having to make x number of cars so they could qualify. Seems like they have went all out to allow non-factory race teams to buy these cars.
$300,000 starting price, but Ford cheaps out no carbon fiber doors, carbon fiber everywhere else. If Ford is smart they will offer it as an option as I am sure they will have a few high priced options in addition to that stratospheric starting price.
Uhhhh, I wouldn't count on much in the way of options on this car. The only ones mentioned so far are the aero package which includes the rear functional spoiler, a carbon fiber undertray and hydraulic front spoiler. Wheel options are choice of CF or magnesium wheels. A couple of minor appearance options for the interior. P.S. Your comment that Ford "cheaps out" on no carbon fiber doors is a dumb statement. The reason had nothing to do with cost!
The limited production numbers and price of this car is certainly going to make it a car that sits in garages as sort of a Mustang Halo car which is probably not what Ford wants but by limited numbers and price that is who will afford this car. Few people who CAN afford this car, would actually test it and we know YOU would Speed Phenom. I m sure all of us WISH that you can get one. Good luck
Spoilers are for light cars. What does the car weigh? Spoiler, more for marketing I would bet. A good comparison would be on a track, with and without the spoiler. Especially on a long straight. i track a 14 Gt500. Good track tires and brakes will always win the day.

Nice. But Ford can build a affordable Track Mustang for under $100k. 500hp 2900lbs sequential gear box running 315’s all around. This is a marketing toy that only a few will own. And even fewer will track.
Clearly the Transmission being Tremec DCT, it must be the one they developed for the Corvette. This car is cool, but it's got a $62k Corvette trans, $85k GT500 engine, Multimatic suspension (think $72k ZL1 1LE), plus dry sump oiling which $30k Mini Coopers have. So while it's a nice car and will probably perform well...I wonder if it will perform $300k well, and given it's all parts available on sub $100k cars riding on a Mustang chassis...I just don't see it being worth $300k. Maybe $180k if it can match the $300k supercars.

Car is full carbon fiber from my understanding.. I think it's worth it.. for people that can afford it.. it's quality, look, and performance is in line with Ferrari, Lamborghini, and other big name exotic cars
I wish you luck Austin but I think I heard there were only going to be 1000 or thereabouts of these made. If it turns out even better than expected, so what, no one could get one anyway. More of an engineering exercise to show what they are capable of. My opinion, and it is just an opinion, is that since you went away from Fords and started going after McClaren, Lamborghini and Vettes, it might be a stretch to get one. Good luck though.

Im a ford family. There price on thus car is way out in left field, witch why you probably wont see these on the road. Just like the ford GT. Ford if this is your answer to the corvette you failed not on specs but on price you have made this car out of reach for about 99% of people. The car looks great but comes with a heart felt price. Thus is ture about a lot of your vehicles. But to sum up this is going to become a dream to have but thats it

FYI: Transaxles are found on the cheapest imported, FWD cars. But if you're talking about Mustangs, it's a first (Corvette has had them since the C5).

This car is not even in the same realm as the Corvette. This is a different level can’t compare them at all besides the insane price.

Spoilers are for light cars. What does the car weigh? Spoiler, more for marketing I would bet. A good comparison would be on a track, with and without the spoiler. Especially on a long straight. i track a 14 Gt500. Good track tires and brakes will always win the day.

Nice. But Ford can build a affordable Track Mustang for under $100k. 500hp 2900lbs sequential gear box running 315’s all around. This is a marketing toy that only a few will own. And even fewer will track.

Clearly the Transmission being Tremec DCT, it must be the one they developed for the Corvette.
This car is cool, but it's got a $62k Corvette trans, $85k GT500 engine, Multimatic suspension (think $72k ZL1 1LE), plus dry sump oiling which $30k Mini Coopers have.
So while it's a nice car and will probably perform well...I wonder if it will perform $300k well, and given it's all parts available on sub $100k cars riding on a Mustang chassis...I just don't see it being worth $300k. Maybe $180k if it can match the $300k supercars.
Guess you'll just have to wait and see like the rest of us!!

Ford says you are not worthy of a GTD without 5 million subscribers or more, but they have an EcoBoost in the back they would sell you. 😂 Of course the Ecoboost V6 in a Ford GT would probably smoke this car.
Hold up. This car rides on the same chassis as a standard Mustang for 300,000 dollars with some tech pieces and carbon fiber added? It simply CANNOT be better than a Z06 by its chassis design? It is also a BRICK pushing air.

Car is full carbon fiber from my understanding.. I think it's worth it.. for people that can afford it.. it's quality, look, and performance is in line with Ferrari, Lamborghini, and other big name exotic cars

I wish you luck Austin but I think I heard there were only going to be 1000 or thereabouts of these made. If it turns out even better than expected, so what, no one could get one anyway. More of an engineering exercise to show what they are capable of. My opinion, and it is just an opinion, is that since you went away from Fords and started going after McClaren, Lamborghini and Vettes, it might be a stretch to get one. Good luck though.
Very cool the engineers really went to work on this one. But the only people that are going to get a chance at owning one of these are guys like Jay Leno...

Yall track day folks need to start pushing back on them limiting stuff like noise level. Its ridiculous and they dont really care about noise they just dont like yall driving ICE cars on track and enjoying yourself. They do it with car enthusiats too. Certain towns, states harass car enthusiasts because thry dont like ICE and they think that if you dont agree with them they need to pass a law making you.
I think maybe the Chevy Corvette people starting to think maybe they need to keep their promises to keep selling cars, look out Ford is in your rear view mirror and catching up quickly with that 300,000 dollar price tag
Im a ford family. There price on thus car is way out in left field, witch why you probably wont see these on the road. Just like the ford GT. Ford if this is your answer to the corvette you failed not on specs but on price you have made this car out of reach for about 99% of people. The car looks great but comes with a heart felt price. Thus is ture about a lot of your vehicles. But to sum up this is going to become a dream to have but thats it
