Without having googled anyone’s ages it isn’t surprising about Billy Gunn. The Smoking Gunn’s were in the fed for years before Billy was actually noticed as a star. Taker was pretty young when he first joined too.
Lemme be perfectly clear... With all due respect to how good Jordan can be, Enes Kanter would dog walk his ass. Jordan is a bench, glue guy at best. Kanter is an otherwordly force
Mick Foley has done the job and help put over so many now legendary wrestlers, but his matches against Randy and Trips were the best ones in my opinion. Both of those were brutal and bloody and showed why Foley is the king of taking punishment.
Even Foley and Hunter’s matches from early in their WWE runs show what natural chemistry they had in the ring, it’s no surprise that each guy credits the other with taking their careers to a new level. Foley made Hunter look like a million bucks and inspired him to find a meaner, more vicious side to his character, and Hunter helped make Foley the lovable, sympathetic underdog everyone can get behind.
I did not dismiss any Steve Austin return. I bit instantly, I bought tickets to mania 32 and 38 just in hopes of seeing Austin in a match. I'm so glad it actually happened
Its kind of crazy that the Hogan v. Rock generational battle came just 5 months before Rock v. Lesnar. Similarly Cena finally beating Rock came at the tail end of Cena's run on top. Sure he held a couple more World Titles afterwards, but he was starting to be phased out as THE top act over the next couple of years. Both were more battles of the past v. the present than the past v. the future when you think about it. Outside of finally beating Austin the next year, there wasn't any higher for Rock to go (in wrestling anyway) after beating Hogan. And there wasn't really any higher for Cena to go after beating Rock.
The true mega match was certainly Hogan vs The Rock . We were kids watching and were astonished to see the crowd reaction. I perhaps think no other match brought that reaction in the history of wwe.
It's incredible that, somehow, Linda McMahon has genuinely one of the biggest pops in the history of pro-wrestling. In an industry with people who are drowning in charisma somehow someone with less than zero charisma drew what's legitimately one of the single greatest crowd reactions ever. Pro-wrestling is the weirdest industry in the world.
It's quite funny to me that Triple H vs. Batista was considered a "generational clash" considering the fact that Trips is several months younger than Batista
Great list! That Cactus v. Orton!?!?! Amazing Foley spends a great deal of time talking about it on his Foley is Pod podcast, even dedicating an entire episode to the match. Cannot recommend that channel enough. 👏
Mic Foley made so many careers by taking beatings. Vader sting edge triple h the rock ect.he made Vader seen like a beast getting his ear ripped off getting powerbombed on the concrete in a time the powerboat was a huge move instead of every cruiserweight ecw wrestlers transition move
I have a theory, I don't think the enes kanter line was a joke from Adam, I think Jack wrote this script and pranked Adam 😂 Jack's the basket ball guy and I believe I heard on the podcast Jack writes Adams scripts sometimes
I really don't like that in 2023 Miz still falls under overrated in most people's eyes. He needs a story good enough for a night 1 wrestlemania main event at least, instead of the It Couple vs Husband/Wife being put in every time he needs a blow off feud.
HBK says his favorite match was his vs Foley because of how Foley pushed him to do things he never thought about doing before. HHH says Foley made him a star. Foley flat out made Orton a star.
I get why they aren't here because these two don't fit the mold of the list, but Punk v Undertaker at WM29 and Jericho v Owens at whichever one it was both turned out to be really important matches to the future of the business and company.
They really took at stab at a basketball player and missed horribly (and I don't know if on purpose since they are Brits) It's like saying Madcap Moss is after Hogan status.
As a life long basketball fan I can speak for the community and say we're all very upset about the fact we won't be able to see the goat vs some bald dude named Michael
Yea if Charlotte Flair focused on her promo skills and not her plastic surgery she may be one of the greats. She is basically Goldberg/Brock Lesnar. She is always the no. 1 contender she gets injured and handed the title. But they didn't do that for Finn Balor, Triple H, or Seth Rollins
Another favorite was The Rock Vs Ric Flair, I remember yelling at the top of my lungs watching these two go at it because both Rock and Flair are my top favorites and the way Ric Flair was looking at The Rock like he knows he’s not intimidated by a young wrestler lol 😂 of course giving off with the Wooooo he showed The Rock that he still got it
Rock vs John Cena , I don't feel the same way as others in the list . Cena was already 10 year veteran in wwe . He had more wrestling matches than the Rock. It may be or is the dream match on the biggest show but not the one like foley vs Orton or trips vs Batista .
Fun Fact: Batista is actually 6 months *older* than Triple H
Kevin Nash is also 1 year older than Arn Anderson.
Billy Gunn is older than The Undertaker!
@@TheStormbringer8751 No way. Brooo, how?
Honestly tho, I guess it's not that surprising.
@@optimus2008 Billy looks younger than Taker. And Nash looks way younger than The Enforcer.
Without having googled anyone’s ages it isn’t surprising about Billy Gunn. The Smoking Gunn’s were in the fed for years before Billy was actually noticed as a star. Taker was pretty young when he first joined too.
I'd give up a kidney to see Michael Jordan play against Enes Kanter.
Lmfaoooo
This will stay as the best comment 👌
Michael Jordan vs who???????
Lemme be perfectly clear... With all due respect to how good Jordan can be, Enes Kanter would dog walk his ass. Jordan is a bench, glue guy at best. Kanter is an otherwordly force
Freedom would play his heart out leading to a hard fought 21-0 loss
Mick Foley has done the job and help put over so many now legendary wrestlers, but his matches against Randy and Trips were the best ones in my opinion. Both of those were brutal and bloody and showed why Foley is the king of taking punishment.

So true! And soooo good
Honorable mentions
-HBK vs Y2J (WM 19)
-Triple H vs Daniel Bryan (WM 30)
-Roman Reigns vs John Cena (No Mercy 2017)
-HBK vs Ric Flair (WM 24)
Taker vs Punk (WM29)
Terry Funk vs Sabu (Born to be Wired)
Ivory Vs Fabulous Moolah lol.
Rock vs Punk (RR 2013)
The fact that everyone forgets about HBK and Y2Js first feud makes me sick. Their match at wm19 was a damn masterclass in story telling and wrestling
@@stevefromyellowstone7911 was a great match. Great Mania.
@@1alsturgeon agreed. The 2nd best but it’s close was Brock and angle. Then I’d say hhh and booker besides the finish .
Randy Orton vs Cactus is my favorite match of all time
Shit was brutal
This whole feud was the reason I became such a big fan of Orton, I wasn't keen on him until this feud and his feud with the taker.
It’s such a good match and that build was great
Same here, best wrestling match of all time in my opinion
Mine is Edge vs Mick Foley. Foley just delivers 100% in every match
Should’ve mentioned Chris Jericho versus Ricky Steamboat as a honorable mention
That was great for real
Royal Rumble 2018's Final Six was sooo good.
Michael Jordan against Enes Kanter is crazy lmao 😂
I did not dismiss any Steve Austin return. I bit instantly, I bought tickets to mania 32 and 38 just in hopes of seeing Austin in a match. I'm so glad it actually happened

One of my favorites the rock vs hulk hogan , Shawn Michaels vs Ric Flair , and Mick Foley vs Edge
Black Adam vs Peacemaker!!! It was RIGHT THERE!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Enes Kanter is god-tier trolling 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Dude is straight facts just watch his Interview about the blm movement.
@@tuni5630No he's not.
Ahh yes the video i have to watch while i eat. Can’t eat without cultaholic
Who would have guessed that 21 years after Mania X7, the McMahons would have a battle royal in real life
Gunther Vs Lesner will be a generation match
The true mega match was certainly Hogan vs The Rock . We were kids watching and were astonished to see the crowd reaction. I perhaps think no other match brought that reaction in the history of wwe.
Most definitely true because Hogan went back to being a face after he lost against The Rock
7:26 Potentially the greatest transition in cultaholic history
"The charisma-void that is Linda McMahon" damn near killed me, almost choked on my lasagna
6:17 origami masters catching stray bullets😂😂
It's incredible that, somehow, Linda McMahon has genuinely one of the biggest pops in the history of pro-wrestling.
In an industry with people who are drowning in charisma somehow someone with less than zero charisma drew what's legitimately one of the single greatest crowd reactions ever.
Pro-wrestling is the weirdest industry in the world.
Black Adam VS Peacemaker was my favorite.
I have a feeling Rock vs Hogan is number 1 and Rock vs Cena is number 2
You should 100% have used Bobby Fischer Vs Magnus Carlson for the chess analogy. That would a legendary match up
Esipenko is a wild choice for a modern Chess player
Mj was was never avoiding bounties like Kanter was!
After that intro, I'm just imagining Adam popping to a Bishop Sacrifice like he's watching wrestling.
It's quite funny to me that Triple H vs. Batista was considered a "generational clash" considering the fact that Trips is several months younger than Batista
Trish Stratus is wrestling royalty.
No Kurt Angle vs John 'The Prototype' Cena, AKA the official debut of the Ruthless Aggression catchphrase?
Great list!
That Cactus v. Orton!?!?!
Amazing
Foley spends a great deal of time talking about it on his Foley is Pod podcast, even dedicating an entire episode to the match.
Cannot recommend that channel enough.
👏
The Enes Kanter line was pure comedy gold. Well done.
I legitimately laughed out loud in the first 12 seconds as soon as Michael Jordan showed up on the screen with Enes Kanter.
I have a theory, I don't think the enes kanter line was a joke from Adam, I think Jack wrote this script and pranked Adam 😂
Jack's the basket ball guy and I believe I heard on the podcast Jack writes Adams scripts sometimes
11:12 you just could've say "Black Addam vs Peacemaker" 🙃
Hey, the real chess dream match is Magnus vs Lasker. Or Fisher. Or really anyone. Tough to admit it but that guy is insanely good.
jordan vs kanter 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hilarious. And isn’t his last name now Freedom lol
The Rock had the torch passed to him, then passed it on to another young star in the span of 5 months
At least he did it
Nah, my dream chess match is Paul Morphy vs Richard Rapport
Orton vs Mick Backlash all time favourite 🔥❤️
I really don't like that in 2023 Miz still falls under overrated in most people's eyes. He needs a story good enough for a night 1 wrestlemania main event at least, instead of the It Couple vs Husband/Wife being put in every time he needs a blow off feud.
Evolution vs. Shield should've been on the list imo
JORDAN VS KANTER😭 that is amazing
I know it was the joke, but I can't believe that you didn't say Black Adam vs Peacemaker.
Honorable mention Lita vs. Becky Lynch. You could say they were both second best to both Charlotte and Trish.
Born in November 2002, I’ve literally got robbed by not seeing Rock vs Hogan and Rock vs Lesnar 😭😭😭😭
Honorable mentions:
1. Undertaker vs A.J. Styles (Wrestlemania 36)
2. Becky Lynch vs Lita (Elimination Chamber 2022)
good video
Foley vs Orton is one of the best matches of that era. Not just the match but the story too.
My dream chess match is Enes Kanter vs Pele.
0:26 right here😁
HBK says his favorite match was his vs Foley because of how Foley pushed him to do things he never thought about doing before. HHH says Foley made him a star. Foley flat out made Orton a star.
John cena was supposed to beat the Rock at wrestlemania 28 but changed at last second rock was supposed to lose
Rock vs. Eric Rowan left the chat.
LSD vs. Big Stevie Cool was a helluva match
MJ vs Kanter, I died 😂😂😂😂
Thanks for clarifying that was sarcasm, I was gonna call the insane ward.
what the fuck was that Michael Jordan comparison at the beginning lmao
little surprised reigns undertaker didnt make the list
Nah the streak was already gone by then. That and not being taker’s last match makes it rather insignificant in hindsight
I am more surprised that brock vs Rock made the list instead of taker vs brock. Lesnar and rock was not an inter generational feud.
I get why they aren't here because these two don't fit the mold of the list, but Punk v Undertaker at WM29 and Jericho v Owens at whichever one it was both turned out to be really important matches to the future of the business and company.
Damn, why'd you have to do Enes Kanter like that?!
I feel like the rock has to make another appearance on this list after his match at wrestlemania 40 with Roman against Cody and Seth
John Cena vs AJ styles is another one I feel like could be added to the list
They're the same era
Actually it would be pele vs Maradona
Literally sat playing chess with this on in the background 😅
Forget to mention edge winning money in the bank at WrestleMania 21
Okay?
What's funny about Batista vs hhh is aren't they only a few years apart? Lol crazy how one was next gen while the other was a vet
The older guy goes out putting over the young talent... Unless your name is Terry "that doesn't work for me brother" Bolea
thanks!
Man stone cold Vs Ko should be top 3 lol that was such a good moment
Nah not even close to top 3. You say that cuz it happened early and you witnessed it
As a chessfan im surprised you know about esipenko
They really took at stab at a basketball player and missed horribly (and I don't know if on purpose since they are Brits) It's like saying Madcap Moss is after Hogan status.
It seems the only sport the British are knowledgeable about is Soccer/football ⚽️
Michael Jordan would pack up Kanter so fast lmao
I'm surprised they didn't include HBK Vs Y2J
Mick foley did this so many times 🔥 randy Orton and edge match 😳 insane
Michael Jordan vs Enes Kanter, I had to rewind to make sure I heard that right.
I would have replaced Orton vs Cactus Jack with Edge vs Foley.
Also Patriot vs Black Adam.
Jordan and enes kanter 💀💀💀💀💀
I think the Rock was a better match up for Hogan. I would put Austin in with Savage. Talk about intensity.
0:14 why are you throwing shade at basketball?
As a life long basketball fan I can speak for the community and say we're all very upset about the fact we won't be able to see the goat vs some bald dude named Michael
Other then some gray hairs in his goatee Austin doesn't age
At number 2 didn’t you mean to say Black Adam vs. Peacemaker lol 😂??
I would rather see LeBron versus Jordan but that’s just me
But I guess Kanter is a better replacement for Lebron (please note the sarcasm)
Bruno vs Buddy Rogers, or Flair vs Buddy Rogers
What's funny is Batista is older than HHH. Lol
I love chess, I'm not GREAT at it, but I win sometimes and always enjoy the game😋
It’s weird because Batista is older than HHH.
24/7 title
Kanter: 1
Jordan: 0
Unless your name is Shawn Michaels and you have the moniker The show stopper or the Heart break kid.
Another favorite was The Rock Vs Ric Flair, I remember yelling at the top of my lungs watching these two go at it because both Rock and Flair are my top favorites and the way Ric Flair was looking at The Rock like he knows he’s not intimidated by a young wrestler lol 😂 of course giving off with the Wooooo he showed The Rock that he still got it
Mj vs enes kanter has me screaming 😭
Obviously Hogan vs the Rock is number one
Batista is Older than Triple H, young up and coming talent my ass lol
Charlotte can be a damn good promo.
One day
...
Rock vs Reigns.
To think he will have faced the Big Four faces of WWE when that happens.
Austin, Hogan, Cena and Reigns.
Batista is older than HHH
You forgot the biggest…Hogan vs Andre
Rock vs John Cena , I don't feel the same way as others in the list . Cena was already 10 year veteran in wwe . He had more wrestling matches than the Rock. It may be or is the dream match on the biggest show but not the one like foley vs Orton or trips vs Batista .
