Definitely won’t happen but GREAT mention seeing as both are TOP guys in the business today as World Champ & Intercontinental Champ/Royal Rumble’s longest durative entrant
Cena vs. Joe was a match I was really hoping we'd finally see in WWE on PPV. Due to their past of coming up in the same training classes with each other, they could've easily built the whole story around Joe being jealous of the fact that Cena made it big in WWE while he was basically "scratching and crawling" his way for years in other lesser known promotions while trying to make a name for himself as well. The story writes itself. Such a damn shame that we never got it.
I remember a few years ago, I heard about an AJ, Bryan and Nakamura three way at a house show and thought "gee it would suck to see something this awesome on TV"
I never got to see any of the Savage vs Taker matches, but I did see them team up to face Ric Flair and the Berzerker when I was 10. Not what I’d call a “dream match,” but it’s the only time I ever got to see Savage or Flair work a match in person.
I went to a house show at one time in the summer of 2018. The main event of the night was Samoa Joe vs Rusev vs Aj Styles. It was a pretty cool match. The other cool triple threat match I saw at a house show as the Fiend vs The Miz vs Daniel Bryan for the universal title.
The best dark match I ever saw was Mankind vs Kane vs HHH vs The Big Show after a Sunday Night Heat taping. The best spot by far was a chain of sleeper holds in the center of the ring, and Mankind went over the guard rail and I was in the third row so I got to touch Mick Foley.
Here's an old school dream match that happened on a MSG show on September 22, 1980: A winner-take-all match to unite the WWF and NWA World Titles, with WWF champ Bob Backlund against NWA champ Hsrley Race. It was one of only a handful of MSG cards that wan't televised on the MSG Channel, and it remained buried in WWE's vault until the DVD The Best of WWE at Madison Square Garden was released. The match was excellent, with Backlund winning by DQ after more than a half hour.
Don't think this is a dream match in a traditional sense, but as a dark match post Raw once in Philly in 2005 there was a match that had JBL, Triple H and Shawn Michaels take on WWE Champion John Cena, World Heavyweight Champion Batista and Hulk Hogan. Main thing I remember of the match being there was HBK's pants getting ripped and HHH fixing it with duct tape while JBL was in the ring.
I was only at 1 house show, but the one I was at put on AJ Styles Vs Cesaro, this was shortly after AJ had debuted in the rumble as well. it tore the fucking house down.
I can't believe seeing that Badass Joe vs Darby match on tv that we were ROBBED of a legit Joe run in WWE. No wonder he told the truth that Vince and HHH mangement had a fight, the fact that Joe was NXT Champion and was not even mentioned when 2.0 launched were all the red flags, They were erasing HHH's legacy.
An honorable mention is Owen Hart vs Kurt Angle in a dark match after RAW around a week or so before Owen passed away in May 1999. Only one photo exists of it and no footage has been released would be amazing too see one day tho
In PR, 3 weeks before The Great Khalil's first televised loss vs John Cena on Judgement Day 2007, The Undertaker 3 counted Khalil after a Tombstone Piledriver. Afterwards I heard Khalil had multiple losses in non-televised and it wasn't all that uncommon.
Imagine the alternate dimension where Randy Savage and The Undertaker faced each other at WrestleMania IX instead of Giant Gonzalez we got Randy Savage vs Taker at Mania IX
I'm surprised Taker/ Warrior wasn't included and I was really surprised Hogan/ Flair wasn't on the list. It took WCW to bring that to life. And while I will stipulate that they did meet on Raw in 2002, that was long after the luster of that had worn off and so I think it still counts.
Man, Hogan vs Roberts could have been a proper fun feud. Its a shame Roberts never got a world title run. If he had kept his demons at bay during his heyday he could have been big. One of my favorites growing up.
Not only did Jake "The Snake" Roberts never receive a WWE World title run, Jake never had, of any kind at all in WWE, a championship reign. The same thing applies to Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka as he, along with many other WWE legends, shockingly never held any WWE championships. That's one of the really major bummers.
Hogan vs Jake the Snake? Man, that would have been nice to see. If only someone, idk, like a wrestling youtube channel, had done a video about that particular piece of lost wrestling media. That would be a great watch, don't you think?
Regarding the dream match between Hulk Hogan and Jake "the Snake" Roberts, at the house shows, apparently more fans cheered Roberts than Hogan. That didn't work for Vince or Hogan, brother!
They wrestled on PPV in WCW a ton of times. Plus at least once in WWF when Flair was billed as the "REAL" world champion, at Madison Square Garden, that aired on the MSG Channel.
Of course Hogan screwed Roberts out of a proper series, how DARE Roberts expect Hulk to put the fans before his own racist, ignorant, self aggrandizing ego? Hogan needs to stop wasting the oxygen of decent human being already.
Oi Adam remember back in 2019 when I gave you guys $5 for a shout out to Trump and instead you muted me. How's Trump look now you thief. Give me back my $5.
@Chuck Buskee the WWE has needed new wrestlers for over 20 yrs, All those old ass idiots over 45 can stay in hollywood making bullshit movies that I will never pay to see either. Hated them then and I still hate them now.
Gotta give some honorable mentions to Cesaro vs WALTER and Cena vs Riddle
cesaro and walter needs to happen on tv. it sounds incredible
@@romancasaus3761 well knowing that cesaro isn't in Wwe it prolly won't happen
Definitely won’t happen but GREAT mention seeing as both are TOP guys in the business today as World Champ & Intercontinental Champ/Royal Rumble’s longest durative entrant
@@slimthakid2653 here's to Cesaro being smart and doing the right thing for his career and going back to WWE.🙏🤞
Don't forget AJ Styles vs Cesaro
Cena vs Joe happened? And it wasn’t televised? That’s a match I really wanted to see 😢
that's kinda the point of the video
On god wwe some hoes for that
@@Thedarkbrazuk 😂😂
I think it was supposed to happen at No Mercy 2017 but I think Joe was out because of injury
Taker/Warrior got the "house show only" treatment in the summer of 1991 as well.
I love Smackdown from 2002 to 2008. And Eddie and Taker are my favourites. That was my dream match and it did happen?!?
The best dark match I ever saw was Mankind vs Kane vs HHH vs The Big Show after a Sunday Night Heat taping. The best spot by far was a chain of sleeper holds in the center of the ring, and Mankind went over the guard rail and I was in the third row so I got to touch Mick Foley.
Honorable mention to Asuka vs Iyo Sky which I saw at a house show a few months ago
I actually have clips of Cena vs Joe when they wrestled in Carbondale, Illinois...the Cena pop was deafening.
Fun fact: Asuka wrestled IYO SKY on a 2022 house show

@The Heldert That and JBL was Batista's opponent at that SummerSlam (same one with Hogan/Michaels).
Cena teaming with Hogan is a fairly big deal
@TheDawracik1 So is Hogan and Batista, since I don't think they ever did on TV (Cena at least did once along with HBK)
I was only at 1 house show, but the one I was at put on AJ Styles Vs Cesaro, this was shortly after AJ had debuted in the rumble as well. it tore the fucking house down.
8:16 why is that such a funny image… Taker’s facial expression really pulls the scene together
I remember when WWE came here to Halifax, Canada, and for our main event it was Taker teaming up with APA but I forget who they faced.
I was lucky enough to see the Flair, HHH, Batista and Michaels match in Newcastle.
Was brilliant.
Rey Mysterio is watching this video, like: Why am I the only one in that trios match not in the HOF? That's not Booyaka.
An honorable mention is Owen Hart vs Kurt Angle in a dark match after RAW around a week or so before Owen passed away in May 1999. Only one photo exists of it and no footage has been released would be amazing too see one day tho

Honourable mention to brock vs sheamus in 2015 I want to say
Mr. Perfect also worked dark matches with Randy Orton.
“As good as catching me in the next man’s sweater” Nice.
I was at The Garden for Lesnar vs Owens. Great list!
Imagine the alternate dimension where Randy Savage and The Undertaker faced each other at WrestleMania IX instead of Giant Gonzalez we got Randy Savage vs Taker at Mania IX
So you're telling me they canceled Roberts vs Hogan because the Snake got cheered? Oh brother.. I know Vince wasn't ready for the Attitude Era then.
If you're looking for another one, in Boston a few years ago we got Shinsuke Nakamura vs AJ Styles vs Daniel Bryan
Owen Hart vs Kurt Angle happened in a dark match...
Eddie vs Austin did happen on TV. Two years prior on Smack down before the 2000 Survivor Series PPV.
Good stuff Adam 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I'm surprised Taker/ Warrior wasn't included and I was really surprised Hogan/ Flair wasn't on the list. It took WCW to bring that to life. And while I will stipulate that they did meet on Raw in 2002, that was long after the luster of that had worn off and so I think it still counts.
Tajiri and Triple H apparently had an excellent main event title match in Japan one time.
If it happened,IT’S NOT A FUCKING DREAM MATCH! Angle vs Bret/Owen Hart is a dream match,Cena vs Omega/Tanahashi is a dream match.
Man, Hogan vs Roberts could have been a proper fun feud. Its a shame Roberts never got a world title run. If he had kept his demons at bay during his heyday he could have been big. One of my favorites growing up.

@jodawa2054 jake really didn’t need a title to be fair
Wow that pic of joe and cena is wild
I got to see Eddie/austin in Winnipeg. Was well done
Eddie and Stonecold had a non title match on Smackdown in Nov 2000 during Eddie's first reign with the IC title.
It still feels weird to call Undertaker a hall of famer. We've been waiting to see it for so long that sometimes I forget he's been inducted
Wow I had no idea of the history John and Joe share, now I'm wondering what if Joe was the one to stay with WWE and John making his name in nwa/TNA. 🤔
Stone Cold Steve Austin and eddie guerrero had a dream match in November 2000 on SmackDown
I saw Lesnar vs KO. It was a bit dissapointing. But still cool.
Would have loved to have seen the untelevised 1994 Royal Rumble match that was won my Owen. If there is footage let me know.
Cesaro vs GUNTHER was probably glorious
I was there for one of the matches and it was great !
Hogan vs Jake the Snake? Man, that would have been nice to see. If only someone, idk, like a wrestling youtube channel, had done a video about that particular piece of lost wrestling media. That would be a great watch, don't you think?
Was Lesner vs Batista in WWE a thing ? Know they wrestled on OVW when Batista was Leviathan but can't remember if they faced off in WWE
Some good ones!!
I stg if that 5 man hell in the cell match from Raw in 2011 isn't here, I'll be mad
Eddie and Austin did have a TV match I have it on dvd on one of Eddie's collections
Hogan Cena and Batista vs HHH HBK and JBL. Has to be on this list
Owens Brock was fun to watch not gonna lie it was nice for an afternooon show
Regarding the dream match between Hulk Hogan and Jake "the Snake" Roberts, at the house shows, apparently more fans cheered Roberts than Hogan. That didn't work for Vince or Hogan, brother!
Cena, Batista and Hulk Hogan vs JBL HHH and HBK at a Raw in 05-06!!
I was lucky enough to see cena vs joe in Carbondale Illinois
Bret Hart vs Rick Rude springs to mind
Kevin owens vs edge msg steel cage match was there was mind blowing
Brock vs Bautista were always kept apart on the main roster
Think they had a couple of matches in OVW when Bautista was called leviathan
Gah I wish I could remember who Taker faced when I saw him at a house show as a kid.
Guessing 1 is Hogan vs Flair, just started.
Raw 2002 they had a match
They wrestled on PPV in WCW a ton of times. Plus at least once in WWF when Flair was billed as the "REAL" world champion, at Madison Square Garden, that aired on the MSG Channel.
Good Video 🥰😃
They should've done these matches on ppv.
Thanks 🙏
Mine Alberto Del Rio vs Undertaker happend in 2010
Isn't there a Shawn Michaels vs Macho Man house show match, out there somewhere?
MOJO VS THE YETI 10 Stars ⭐️
Where is James Ellsworth vs Curt Hawkins?
we can do these in wwe games yay
Sheamus and Lesnar was decent too :)
Erm... Flair v Hogan
They had a bunch of matches in WCW so that's probably why they're not listed.
At least one WWF match between them was aired on the MSG Channel.
Why does that woman standing between Samoa Joe and Cena look familiar?.......
Perfect vs lesnar???? a dream matchhh???? Are u kidding?
Interesting.
no Kurt vs Owen Hart?
We should have had Lesnar/Owens at Fastlane 17
Gunther/Cesaro, Gunther/Styles
I like to see 10 dream matches we'll never see.
Of course Hogan screwed Roberts out of a proper series, how DARE Roberts expect Hulk to put the fans before his own racist, ignorant, self aggrandizing ego? Hogan needs to stop wasting the oxygen of decent human being already.
How about the worst 10 matches that where televised, stardust a mid carder at best winning Mania... it's about to happen F.U. stardust
You marks call ANYTHING a dream match!
How y’all make this list and not mention Gunther vs. Cesaro?
Cena vs Joe isn’t a dream match.
