I am ok taking a dart throw on Rattler hoping he gains value so he can be dealt. We know he has the physical tools to succeed and his mental approach is currently in a good place.
If we look at a lot of his ints, a lot of them were late game ints were rattler is trying to extend/make a play for his team bc they’re down.. now it’s obviously not great getting late game ints. But the scheme and talent in SC wasn’t really amazing besides him and Legette really. A lot of the time their oline ran 7-8 man protections and the opposing defensive line were still just blowing up the SC Oline. When the plays were actually drawn up decent he was able to make good reads and go through some progressions. Another thing is, I think with some of his throws he was trying allow his WRs to make plays by going up sand get the ball, bc besides legette there wasn’t much separation unless it was in soft zones for them. And that’s once again imo, bc the talent and scheme besides legette snd rattler just went all too great.. last thing is, he played in the SEC. they’re a tough conference and he still threw for 6200 yards and 35+ tds. They played teams like Bama, Missouri, Georgia, Ole Miss Tennessee.
It's poor statistical analysis to look at the last 5 years & note than only 2 QBs drafted after the 1st round are starting. That ignores other QBs drafted later who have been in the NFL longer than 5 years like Russell Wilson. Of course you want to find the guy in the 1st round...actually the top 10 is preferable. But a number of those guys have also flopped badly. In point of fact, since 1990, only 50% of QBs drafted in the 1st round lived up to expectations. The rest...half of them...were either outright busts like Josh Rosen or significantly under-performed like Sam Darnold. The most important factor may not be where they were drafted, but whether they were with a coaching staff that could both develop them & had both a compatible system as well as the patience to wait on them.
i could see the seahawks taking a chance on him in the second or third round. If he could sit and learn behind geno i think he could be a pro bowl nfl starter, has all the tools and accuracy.
MVP at senior bowl is important. Shows he's good when he's actually around talent. Played at USC, a low end SEC school, so his not great stats aren't that telling, IMO.
@devytodynastyfootball you're more interested in the guys who play on better teams, and weaker conferences, who can dominant competitors who aren't good enough to play in the NFL, but get shut down by quality competition? Makes sense. Seems like a smart way to gauge talent.

Rattler needs to land in a spot with good coaching and can sit a year behind a good qb vet and learn.
Definitely needs to sit a year, maybe two.
Sounds like the Giants👀

Don't say subscribe, and I possibly will subscribe #nopushyness nomanipulation #freedom #lawofattraction 😅
Can’t look at history like that..he can be special..multiple qbs went later in history and were franchise qbs
History doesn't lie though. It's all we got. Yes, he could be an outlier but doubt it.
Will Levis.
I can see that comp.
How is love a day 1 pick and spencer a 3 or 4. These "analysts" aren't smart.
Be nice. Be nice.

Sorry, MVP at senior bowl playing in shorts doesn't move the needle for me.
