- One of the most polarizing names in the 2024 NFL draft is QB Spencer Rattler. After becoming a five star recruit, he made pit stops at both Oklahoma and South Carolina and is now in a confusing spot for the NFL. Today, I want to bring you up to speed on who he is, his journey and his draft profile, enjoy!

What do you think of Spencer Rattler and his chances in the NFL?
I think Rattler can be a career backup with the potential to develop into a bridge starter sometime in the future. Rattler does not have the franchise quarterback upside, but hopefully, he can have a long career in the NFL as a backup.
I don’t like him personality wise. But I haven’t heard much of him since he got benched in 2021.
Wouldn't draft him with a ten foot pole...he wears his heart on his sleeve but his attitude and his maturity are questions and he really had some issues at South Carolina. He needs to sit down and watch and learn the game, he needs to go to a Kansas City or a Buffalo where they have an established quarterback and learn from him.
I'm buying in round 3 if I have an established starter
Bennett is going back to the rams and if Bennett can keep out of trouble which I think he will, he will be in front of rattler. With Jimmy g there also, I don't see a spot for him unless he balls out.
Apparently that “school code violation” his senior year in HS was hotboxing a car with his homies lol which in my opinion is nothing.
Oh boy, I knew this video was coming. I just thank him for his time at SC and helping our program achieve some fun stuff in 2022. Wish him the best and think he’s got a future in the NFL, but not sure what it’ll be. He’s got the raw talent, and drive.

Facts Stafford is still solid but has a lot of injuries and is already 36 this imo is the perfect draft to get the heir apparent as their are a few projects QB's you can "draft and stash" and hopefully be prepared for life after Stafford the rams should either get rattler or McCarthy if he's still around when they pick
I can't believe how little people think of him in the comments-all because he appeared on a Netflix show in HS. I swear if he never did that show, his projections would be so much higher.
He was the number 1 recruit coming out of high school for a reason. The arm talent is undeniable and his mechanics and footwork are pretty flawless. He also plays an intelligent brand of football and ran a pro-style offense unlike many of the other prospects in this draft class. The only concerns I really have are size and overall athleticism, but honestly, I'm calling it: he's the next Brock Purdy. Once he gets his chance it'll be obvious how overlooked he was during the draft process.
Watching those High school highlights u had in the vid. That ball placement is insane. I hope the Steelers still pick him up even though we got fields.

@@Peppy869 you ever considered what he's surrounded with in South Carolina, not to say he's going to be a 1st round pick or say he's a career backup so soon in a league that doesn't have all 32 elite QBs. Just given the best situation he could be a starter depending on the circumstances and how injuries do occur for starting QBs nowadays.

i went to horizon high school and got to watch spencer torch us every time we played for 4 years. crazy to see how his career has progressed

Spencer Rattler’s future in the NFL is dependent on where he goes in the draft. If he can go somewhere that will let him learn for 1-2 years under a talented veteran, then he’ll do pretty well.
I think teams like the Jets, the Seahawks and potentially the Raiders would be the best spots for him.
I've watched the up and down and up of his college career! I see unlimited potential but the question is will he allow himself to reach it! The main reason he is not the number 1 draft pick right now is him! I believe he got too big for himself, settled down but just hasnt put in elite level work to be the best! Ive never seen a more natural release of the ball out of his hand! He was obviously born to throw a football, the only thing holding him back is him! I hope he figures it out because he could be great if he finds complete humility and puts in elite work!!

I don’t think any of the top 5 or 6 QB draft prospects, including Spencer, are really that different as far as their chances at being stars in the NFL. They all have major weaknesses.
I think they all have talent to me I think if they come in and watch and take the mental aspect like watching video and studying the other teams tendencies I think they can all be decent also if the team they go to has some talent and an offensive line to help
caleb's floor is a taller kyler murray. he has no chance of busting like the other qbs

I love Spencer. I drafted him in Madden one year, and wanted to learn who he was. From this video I learned about his SC career and not much else. I feel bad for him that his own team’s fans wanted someone else to take over for him during the game itself. I hope he ends up being a great NFL Quarterback.

I’m a South Carolina fan and I want to say this I don’t think he was really up and down for us. He was a delight to watch as a fan. Compared to the last guy as they come through before him he was such a breath of fresh air. 😂 overall really good quarterback for us. He helped us beat Clemson, which that was really impressive

I think he's a perfect QB to DEVELOP in the league, I don't think he should be put into a starting position - doubtful that he would be anyways but he has potential imo and I do think he's good enough to play in the league he just needs time and care like Mahomes had at Kansas City. He also just has an insanely good QB class to compete with in this draft but their have been a lot of past drafts where the best QBs taken early just suck and then the random no names in the later part of the draft really perform in the league. So It's hard to say. Drafting a QB is a very hard thing to do.

No upside all hype. Had all the opportunity handed to him in college underperforming. Peaked in High School and got fat.
He works as a 3rd or 4th round pick. He very well could be a starter QB but more like STACHE aka Minshew, solid backup fill in starter.
Id rather draft him over Pratt just bc I feel he has a better chance of being a starting QB

Rattler threw for 460 yards 30-37 6 Tds and 0 Ints vs number 3 ranked tennessee. Knocked a very good Tennessee team out of the playoffs then the following week beat a very good/ranked Clemson team..Rattler did that with an awful South Carolina team..Those two performances alone are more impressive than anything Caleb williams did his entire college career..Then rattler shredded georgia and lost a super close game..Besides Alabama South carolina is the only team that gave Georgia a game and it was solely because of rattler.. The saints got the best QB in the draft for a very good price.. Rattler will prove y’all wrong dude can ball..

I’ll be willing to make a $300 bet that Spencer Rattler will be a Franchise QB a a star he’s NFL ready and went to SC not not win a College Championship he wants that SB So he Started working on his NFL game by going to a College that Ran a NFL Style Offense and are a bad to so he literally went to a team to make himself better for the NFL and learned how to be on a losing team and make something happen get him a short memory and played against the best defenses with no o-line, he’s a proven leader and I’ll, bet with anyone that He’s DAY1 Ready and will ball out…..bet me please yall have no clue
I normally don’t disagree but I got to on this one, Rattler is the guy. He’s definitely has the skills to make it as top backup QB. The only thing that will hold him back is whatever team draft him, having good coaching staff.

No, Milton played for five or six years. Completely average despite having perhaps the best physical skills of any college QB EVER. If he was any good, we'd have seen it by now.

He is better than Caleb williams..Watch Caleb’s games vs Utah it was pathetic..Utah is the only real defense caleb faced while at USC..Utah beat down caleb so bad he literally gave up and was benched at the end of the pac12 championship game and USC was eliminated from the playoffs..That game showed Caleb can’t handle high caliber defense and he can’t handle pressure..Meanwhile Rattler played in the SEC with the best defenses and won many big games.. Ratler threw for 460 yards 30-37 6 TDs 0 ints and knocked number 3 ranked tennesse out of the playoffs and the following week beat clemson another highly ranked team/defense.. Rattlers team was terrible and he still pulled that off…Rattler is the best QB in this draft..

He threw for 300 yards and two touchdowns with a rushing touchdown in a win over number 9 Clemson, he also threw for 3,000 yards two years in a row despite that he played on a crappy team his second year, he also threw for two touchdowns against Notre Dame, Three against Vanderbilt, Four against Florida with 400 yards.
He had no O-Line, he got sacked nine times one game and still threw for 300 yards.

Typical story of a young man who reaches puberty 2-3 years before everyone else, a man playing among boys. These types almost always are not hard workers, since they are just more physically gifted for their age that they don't have to work hard. Everyone eventually catches up to them physically, and their success begins to plateau.
