Appalachian Trail Adventure 2024 Day 29 Lehigh Gap Rock Scramble

May 7th 2024 - Appalachian Trail Adventure 2024 Day 29. This was the hardest day on trail so far for this LASH and the hardest rock scramble so far on the AT. Lehigh Gap was tough and it was hot. Today was a tough day!
Started at mile 1255.2 hiked to mile 1265.8 total miles 10.6 for the day.

Wow I remember that day as we did that part NOBO as we didn’t want to be going down SOBO. It was tough. I agree. The rocks after the big climb for me seemed worse than the climb up. I had fallen earlier in the day and had a gash on my knee that made it even harder to climb up. It was worth it though. The views are spectacular. You did awesome. I heard about the dog treats with hooks as well. Crazy stuff. Well deserving a good rest. Happy trails.🤘🏻🥾⛰️

I think if we hadn’t had full packs and it hadn’t been so hot it would have been a bit more fun. I thought the rocks after would never end. The dog treats with hooks were so awful! I didn’t hear about any dog getting injured but it’s so terrible someone would do that! Happy Trails! 🥾⛰️🏕️
