it's not really something to be proud of Is it, it's to be expected. You have a coastline that is enormous, and better offshore conditions than comparable economies, which generates far more wind power potential. You should be asking questions, if your position wasn't as it is

Germany has 28,400 onshore wind turbines. UK has 11,500 in total, onshore and offshore. So the numbers are correct. The north of Germany is very windy and that is where most of them were installed
If you believe the figures, if they generate so much power with solar and wind, why do they still have over 1100 coal powered power stations. India that's second only has 285. China are actually increasing the output of the coal power stations not decreasing them. 18GW in 2021, 90GW in 2022, they have ready used 20GW in the first quarter of this year. There would be no need if the solar and wind figures were true, output would be reducing.
'China' is not a person, but around 1,400,000,000 persons. The absolute figures of power production etc. per country are absolute nonsense in country comparison. Production and comsumption per capita would be much more meaningful, especially in relation to total territory, GDP, and other factors.

I'm from the UK and it's a disgrace that we have less wind power generation than Germany, when we are an island nation
Hopefully our offshore wind projects will address that.

Only China is good example. Middle east countries grew because. of selling oil.
Look at countries like North Korea, Pakistan, Afghanistan etc as well. You will not find these countries in any of the lists.
