Mine doesn't turn out cylindrical at all, nothing like a "tube". I follow your directions exactly, and yet I come out with a flat strip that simply looks as if I've made a chain, and then single crocheted two rows on top of it in the normal manner. So, just a thin, three chain wide, flat strip of finished fabric. :(
Can this stitch be used as a boarder? and THANK YOU for your very informative and easy to follow video tutorial,,I just subscribed and WILL follow you ..I am a LH and appreciate any videos that help the Lefties hook!! :)
Thank you for you quick reply..I will have to try that..My daughter is expecting her first this Oct and I crocheted the Hugs and Kisses baby blanket.I did not want to follow the patterns instructions for the boarder and decided to try something different..I LOVE elephants and came across a video on how to make elephants as a boarder..I fell in love with that idea..So I wanted a solid boarder in which to crochet these small elephants so it would appear as it they are walking on a path or road..I was also considering doing the crab stitch as well as my boarder and then have the elephants walking on top of it...What do you think? This will be my first grandchild and I wanted to make something that represent something grandma loves ,hence the elephants, for someone that I love .. :)
Thank you so much for recognizing left-handed people like me. You make it easier for us to understand.
Thanks for showing how to do this left handed!
Looks like it actually creates the same fabric as the knitted version; just creating the loops using a different tool. Cool!
It's amazing, I could find a tutorial for lefties, Thanks ... I hope you do more tutorials for lefties, I subscribe ....
