Hello Left-Handed Knitters! I have an entire playlist just for you, complete with yet-to-be released unlisted videos, too. Enjoy! th-cam.com/play/PLUFn5w_e6iu97bGibJBendJmQjskMywoP.html
I regret not looking for your video before I managed to teach myself using a right handed book and converting the instructions. Just knowing that you have made this video, I can’t hit the like button enough times.
Just getting started with knitting and this video (along with the casting on video) were super helpful and very easy to follow. Thanks for thinking of us lefties!
thank you! this was a great video. i went to a beginning knitting class today and the teacher couldn't teach me how to do it left handed, but after watching your video and following along with my knitting i got it easily!
They thought they could trick us into thinking we couldn't do it in a right handed world but look at us knitting and shit ! Left handers unite! but seriously thank you
Hi! So I’ve been trying to knit and I have 2 questions, 1) should I let the working yarn in my right hand for tension (same as crocheting) or do I not need to hold the working yarn? 2) when I tried knitting especially in the first row there would be a long tail between the two needles.. how can I avoid that? Is it due to the loose tension I’m having? I’ve been trying to knit since May 😢😭
Do you always knit left handed knitting? I just found out about it, I don't know if I want to switch because I'd have to learn every technique the left handed way
Despite being left handed, this looks weird to me! I knit right- handed, not sure why, I just think I was taught that way. I remember learning as a child (knitting like a cissy a relative in the 1970 s called it!) and it was a guilty pleasure. I feel a lot less self-conscious about being male and a knitter in my (late!) adulthood 😊- I have just made myself a hat in LGBT colours and I followed a pattern and everything! But yeah, I learnt right-handed. The only thing I find fiddly is the slip knotty thing for the first stitch. Ifinger knit one stitch and slip it onto the needle. A lady in the knitting group I joined is struggling because she can’t find left-handed resources, so I will point out that they do exist!

I don't understand what I am doing wrong I get so close and when I go to cast off it all falls apart so upsetting
Thanks so much. I am teaching my Grandson to knit and he is left handed. I couldn't get it right for him until I watched this video. Thanks so much.
Glad it was helpful for him! So sweet he's learning from you.

How do you keep the yarn in the middle short and not long?
Yes! I need to know this too. My loop to knit it always has a baggy middle yarn.. not sure how to keep it shorter

What sized needles should a beginner start with? I want to knit my boyfriend a scarf and then a hat.

That was probably the most helpful video that I've watched because I've been on loads of them and it didn't work, this one did😃
Glad it helped!
