A beautiful Sevdah song by P. Živković - Tozovac, and a perfect symbiosis of the strength of the Orchestra with its new singer Margherita Abita.

It is very difficult to sing a song from the Balkans especially when you are not a local!
The Balkans are a region to difficult to understand from people from outside. The people from Balkans even didn't understand themselves. Each region from Balkans are completely different from the others and in the same time everything is the same. Even the gypsies (rroma people) are not the same like in other countries. They all became part of the Balkans. A huge hug to the people from (in alphabetical order): Bosnia and Hertegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro Greece, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey

@@milannesic7424 pa stara je otisla pre oko godinu dana. Mi smo bili na koncertu nedavno i ne mogu nista lose reci. Oni su jednostavno kvalitetan bend i takva je i ova nova pevacica, svaka ima svoj stil i nacin pevanja i ponasanja. Meni se dopadaju obe i rado ih slusam ❤

What an eclectic singer, with an incredible range of colors, ornaments and expressions!
This particular rendition of the song to me is so far the best I’ve heard! I only presume that the singer knows what she’s singing about because without understanding the context of the song I don’t know how she could possibly be singing it so beautifully.
I love Ljiljana Buttler’s interpretation, obviously Silvana Armenulic is unbeatable and Marija Serifovic is amazing! Each of these powerful ladies have song this song in their own way and made it memorable. However, there’s something about this singer that makes it for me truly special.

@@jimyoung9262 You may be right. I listened to all of Sandra's songs and only at the end of Djelem Djelem does she hit the same highest note in this song for more than a half-second and her voice breaks too. When Margherita sings it it sounds so low! But that's how different voices work after all

In all fairness, I feel like the band is heading in another direction without Sandra. Margherita's voice while not having the same oomph and softness, it's still very energetic and unique! I will still follow the band, enjoy the new music, and give credit when credit is due. Thank you for everything guys!
Edit: I listened to the whole album and I feel the need to revoke some of my words. Margherita's voice is unique, point-blank. BGKO will continue to muse and make us dream and I cannot express my gratitude enough.
I will keep on spreading BGKO's music as I shared it with my friends and I made some simple music BGKO sheets for guitars and ukes so that amateurs can also appreciate learning to BGKO's art.
I hope that you will perform in Tunisia someday but I will visit one of your shows when I'll be back to Italy when the crisis is behind us.
Also, if i may add, some of the North African folk music can fit perfectly with BGKO's art due to the Sephardic influence. It would be awesome to see BGKO perform some of it.
