This one is one of their most mellow tracks. The end of this one is more what you can expect from the rest of their stuff. Funky time signatures, extreme groove, and killer vocals are pretty much their signature.

Perennial live at Wacken shows her talent well. My favorite performance is Pit of Consciousness live in Kyiv.

thanx for your reaction and warm greetings from a german musician, and besides> IMO Jinjer is one of the best bands out there, and apart from that Jinjer has his very own Jinjer style and you can't say that about many bands these days!
All musicians are world class musicians, you will see it soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    greetings from germany

Jinjer is an incredible band, with honestly no bad songs. While good, their early work is a bit simpler and sounds similar to the other bands of that era. Over time they've really developed their own distinctive sound.
The talent of all 4 band members, their complex genre blending songwriting, consistent quality and excellent live performances make Jinjer one of the all time great metal bands imo (no question if limiting to 'modern metal'). Based on how you reacted to the guitar in this track I'm sure you'll get something out of basically every Jinjer song. Roman (the guitarist) and Vlad (current drummer - this Pisces video was recorded as his debut with the band, is a classically trained pianist that also wrote a lot of the guitar parts for the latest album) bring so many good riffs. Personally I got into Jinjer when someone recommended them to me as a band with Mudvayne like bass, and Ryan Martini of Mudvayne was an early influence on Eugene's style.
There's a long list of usual Jinjer rabbit hole recommendations everyone posts. That list tends to ramps up the more extreme/experimental/chaotic elements of Jinjer over time. But given you didn't blink at the harsh vocals or switch up you'll be fine to jump into anything, or if you get through the list at least listen to a few deeper cuts or just the entire albums.

They are an incredible band! I have just finished recording a couple more reactions to them and I can't say much (spoilers) but wow... definitely a band that is going to be featured on the channel a lot more often in reaction content!
Thank you very much for watching! 🤘

Jinjer is top class and has an excellent discography. Another band worthy of checking out is Wintersun - Sons of Winter and Stars (live session @Sonic Pump Studios)

If you like the metal guitar low bends, you'll want to listen to their track Vortex, which is excellent in many other ways, but has some killer bends at the end.

Thank you, I will add it to the list... Although I am thinking about doing a chronological Jinjer series like I have with Sleep Token 😂

A bit late to this party. A very actionable screaming tutorial that had me feeling like if I had a bit more motivation I'd learn no problem is The Fairy Voice Mother's reaction to Hypa Hypa by Electric Callbpy. She reacts with a friend and gives some pointers.

Great reaction, Perennial live at Wacken is usually the next step, but if you want something harder/faster I'd suggest Sit,Stay and Rollover.
It's the song that got them signed to Napalm records.
But really you can't go wrong with any Jinjer songs.
Subbed, can't wait to see more.

61 years old and taking harsh vocal lessons & study, solely because of Jinjer and Tati’s voice 😎🤘🏼🤘🏼 Too old to ever do anything with it, but it’s a faking fun ride!

The Charismatic Voice's channel has a video with Will Ramos of Lorna Shore where they put a camera down his throat as he did these harsh vocalizations. It's very cool watching the mechanics of the throat during, it is a way different process than clean singing. It's a long video but worth the watch.

    • @BraindeadBreakdown
      @BraindeadBreakdown  ปีที่แล้ว +2

I have seen that video and it one of the reasons I have avoided Lorna Shore so far. I have never listened to their music outside of that video but I am a fan of The Charismatic Voice and am somewhat familiar with Will because of it. Thank you for the suggestion though! 🙂

A couple of other metal fusion acts for you to try out:
Poppy: She started off quirky bubblegum pop, then gradually went more and more metal until she was briefly full-on metal, before easing off a bit. The crossover period has some bizarre, but brilliant 'Frankenstein's monster' mash ups of the two genres such as Scary Mask and Concrete. For the full metal sound try Say Cheese.
Sound Struggle: A band out of the renowned Berklee College of Music who blend metal with jazz funk and prog and who also combine clean and guttural vocals. Check out Strongth, Rotating Door or Missing Out by them.
