Here's the Heavy Bolter solo that some of you had been asking for! Also.. Before anyone points out, "Those are Tyranids, not Chaos," the mission starts with a brief encounter against Tyranids but shifts to Chaos for the majority of the mission.
heavy's biggest secret that most still don't know, you can just stand your ground and mow down enemies with the heavy bolter and regen health like crazy, and come out with a full health bar and the corpses of your enemies around you.
I wish the H-Bolter was looked up to more, it’s becoming a much more viable weapon due to it’s range now, but ranged upgrades for the Meta-Melta give it an edge over the H-Bolter just slightly, and the poor H-Plasma Incinerator, it needs to be more AOE viable, make it a Plasma Cannon, those things are extremely powerful when charged and have great AOE.
@@xstreamdray You should, it’s a BEAST against bosses, and if they don’t have massive AOE moves that target all players, it’s honestly really good. Grinding the levels it the only real bad part. I’d say it’s best against mini-bosses and the Hell Drake.
That heavy stance to top up hp like melta is so satisfying and you hold up like 800+ ammos without reload needed and no knock back. I have not level my heavy yet and I will definitely choose the heavy bolter first. Let the tactical and vanguard do the metla.
Melta is strong, but definitely not as fun as the Heavy Bolter. Haven't really tried the Plasma that much myself, but I can't imagine it being more fun than the Heavy Bolter either!
I absolutely hated leveling this thing, it's *so* bad at low ranks. But I stuck with it. Getting it to Relic was night and day difference and now I think it's one of the best weapons in the game.
I too hate the grind of this game. Absolutely hate it. Aside from the Melta variants which can 1 shot a line of hordes with ease even at level 1, every gun is worthless in this game at low levels. Which adds to the hilarity of channels releasing gun tier lists 2 weeks after the game's release because they cannot judge the guns fairly.
@@xstreamdray Very true. I think people are overlooking the balance intentions of the devs perhaps because anything that isn't the Melta and isn't at least Relic tier is almost unserviceable in Ruthless difficulty. Bolt ammo guns feel like you're shooting toothpicks at enemies.
@@DKC196 Not on my matches, heavy was sometimes so strong, i only had to finish them off. It was even too strong, i dont want the bots to win my game. And they did, very often. And sometimes they are just standing around. So yeah, they need some work. But i dont want to be them so strong. They should suck one way or another.
They’re all pretty ineffective, and they don't get to do much as long as you stay aggressive... except for Vanguard bots - they’re the worst. Vanguard bots seem to steal executions more than any other, and you will lose runs because of that. Screw Vanguard bots.
@@sethael1741I second the heavy bot being best. For the first 10 levels or so of playing, the heavy bot would often do more damage than I did. It pumps out ridiculous amounts of raw damage and as long as it doesn't decide to be an idiot and focus on one single gaunt from the other side of the map, it will melt everything else. Especially helpful when you're playing a bulwark with little ranged. Sniper is probably the worst since it has an even stronger tendency to focus down random low level enemies, but it runs out of ammo by doing so
I kinda feel like I'm cheating when I play as the Sniper.. You don't have much ammo if you don't take ammo-related perks. However, the moment you take those perks you unlock an infinite ammo glitch, so it just feels like cheesing the game at that point. I'll think about it!

I main the heavy and I used to run when swarmed, but it turns out standing your ground and landing headshots is the way to go. Thanks for the vid.
Just parry everything. It's the OP move of the game.

Great run man, that shot through the wall at 5:54 was so bs though haha
Thanks! And definitely didn't expect to take damage there..

Plasma would be less awkward if it didn't have the arc (or if it didn't drop off so fast) and the projectile didn't move at walking speed
@@chetmanley1885 Yea, but I think the reason is to not replace sniper.
I haven't really tried out the Heavy's Plasma yet, may be I'll try to work on that next!

Yeah bolt weapons in general do take a lot of hits to kill just 1 thing.
I think I missed on the video, but would you mind sharing which of the bolter updates are you using?
The increased ammo capacity variant.
Become Turret.
Love the vid! Will you do a video on the heavy plasma weapon? Im debating on using it but i never see anyone else use it 👍
Thanks! I'd like to use the Plasma, but it might take a while to level that up. I'll try!
Do you have an opinion on which bot classes perform the best and which bot classes are the worst?
They all suck.
Sniper and heavy are the worst bot classes in my opinion. From what I’ve seen, they never use their primary weapons.
