In my childhood some 35 years ago chalghoza used to sell for just 100 or 150 rupees per Kg and though it was considered a little bit expensive but was still affordable for most people in the society. And now it is selling at more than 10000 rupees per Kg and almost out of reach for literally everyone except for some rich people.

One kilo of pine needles (chilghoza) are sold for fifteen thousand rupees in the main bazaars. Not many can afford the luxury. There used to be a chighoza pine forest in South Waziristan but the trees have been mostly cut down for their wood.
