Awesome guy I know someone who uses hand controls and the guy beats the hell out of his Camaro SS.This is nice to see Fran I admire people that do this and love to drive.Good luck buddy on your new supercharger and drive it like you stole it ✊✊
That power dip sounds like a power derate in anticipation of hitting the limiter since it’s probably preparing for the possibility that it may not get the upshift command from the driver.
Ooops! Well it was the wrong gear I pull all in 6th but did this one in 7th, oh wait no it's the pulley, now it's the belt! Oh ya the other was E! Lmao!! Whipple is King any real car guy knows it! At Leary for daily driving hot rods and back to back pulls....
Why would you build a bottom end when you don't need to?? Go into a bigger blower makes it more efficient you don't have to spin so hard less heat less boost
So you think paying US employee $40/hr vs a China employee $11 is going to lower th price of a blower?! Yeah..next 4yrs are gonna be fun and a learning experience...bless your heart..
@@spyderlyf3he didn’t say anything about lower prices. Did you even read the comment before interjecting you shtt political input? Maybe some people want higher quality or domestic jobs. Not save $50 on a $8k kit and then have to do maintenance d to it. Gtfoh.
Maggie is better but the question is he spent 20k plus just for a blower swap is it worth it ? To gain 50 hp I don’t think so that 20 k on a bottom end with the Whipple he would’ve gained way more
What a waste of money! The Whipples ability to prevent heat soak alone makes it better! The Gen5 and Gen6 Whipples are the best blower made! And those Maggie's get the same isolator issues he complained on the Whipple about! They are comparing a brand new Maggie to a basically deleted model of Whipple
That Whipple on the ZL1 is the older 2.9 not the 3.0.
Those valve covers are sick. Yeah Matt definitely doesn't praise many parts or builds so you know those valve covers are very good looking
No kidding. They were nicely milled and anodized for sure. I'd be interested to see how much they were.
Matt is kinda a prick
19:59 Dads Against Predators (DAP) is what he's referring to. Its indeed great.
Maggie hits harder and sounds better IMO. Nice build

yall should make a two hour vlog I really enjoy watching yall vlogs I have to catch up I watch yall old vlogs too😂
Pretty sick numbers! And those valve covers are sweet. What brand are those?
Great vid!! I personally like the boost creep Whipple makes on my built 6.4 hemi. Never tried it on a chevy tho.

Now he needs to change the transmission to a manual!😅
Man I love this channel
Music to my ears man i dont know i love dyno pulls before i sleep bro 😂

Are you stupid?
Well i think so, since his account starts with a Coyote 🐺@@RaceProvenMotorsports
Who makes those valve covers?
Too high psi
Great video Fran
Where can I find that protective wrap?
It’s on our website. Search fender wrap
@
Thanks I was so scared to ask, didn’t want to get eaten up in the comments lol
I think if those valve covers had LED lights on them it would make another 5 , 6 , or 7 more horsepower. Yuppers
Great video!
Fuel system? stock in-tank pump? RMP fuel system low side? Injectors? High pressure pump?
Our low side. Stock high side
@@RaceProvenMotorsports port injection?
2.9 makes decent power. The roots blower will be a little more responsive and efficient.
Why not build the bottom end instead of switching blowers which makes little to no difference?
It made a huge difference and has better performance. Building the bottom and won’t make you any more power just hold more power.

@@zmax765 It will if you bump up the compression 😉
@ not ideal for boosted applications
@ As long as you got the fuel to do it it is, though that gets awful pricey awful quick unfortunately
Why won’t anyone do the new Gen.6 whipple 3.0
Because expense and quality control. Maggie ftw…
But what if u did a whipple 3.0 or 3.8
Who cares. We went to a smaller Maggie……
Its almost 2025 and people are still thinking a trash 2.9 whipppe can hold a candle to a Maggie 2650??? We answered this in 2019 😂
I thought to get a correct dyno you had to have the 1 to 1 gear ratio so if 7th gear is 1 to one why are you even in 6th gear?
Bc im not going to go 200mph on the dyno
Hopefully with the new incoming tariffs whipples will be made in the US now instead of China.

Whipple headquarters is in Fresno California. My mom went to high school with the dude.
Art whipple
@pstiikkreefing8937 so basically OP just spreading propaganda..good to know. I've heard of people having issues with them and the rotors..
@@spyderlyf3 Still better than harris, unless your an America hater.

Labor and blower ?
Not even remotely close. Plus he sold the Whipple.

He wants to sell the whipple hit me up. I will definitely purchase it ✊
We installed it on another car
Valve covers worth 50hp alone.
That's a gen3 2.9l...and it's one of the worst designs. A gen 6 3.0l would embarrass that 2.9l.
cool
Brrrrrrppppppp
