I have since watched many of your videos and find both of you to be warm, relaxed, and even charming, and it's inspiring to see how intrigued you both are with your travel discoveries. I especially enjoyed your videos of India, the areas away from the big cities, and your trip to Khuri (sp?) with the camel ride and camping under the stars in the desert. The Indian people (other than the roving groups of young men) seem delightful, just like both you and Carol.

We also loved Mirissa Beach in the south, when we were there 5 years ago it still wasn't too built up yet, not sure how it is now. Stayed at the Giragala Village hotel..it was a bit more than we usually paid but we loved it - they have a cool spot on the property where you can lay in hammocks and enjoy the view of beach, good snorkeling right off the shore.

@Jumping Places That lizard looking thing is call Kabaragoya they are fresh water monitor species common around Sri Lankan rivers and lakes, fully grown ones are larger than that. Wearing white represents purity in Sri Lankan culture
Public general water line is safe to drink in kandy. Food is too much cheap and pretty much quality. Public transport is better than uber . Everything thing can buy under 10$.
I have visited many countries in my life , but never visited a country like Sri Lanka . Plz be aware dont book a hotel in the middle of Kandy, book in away from the city at least 7km coz u will feel the smoke and the Air is very polluted in the centre, and it is very noisy, not nice at all .
if you are travelling in India or any other Indian-Sub continent country ,just download "OYO rooms" app , it will always have a better deal than AirBnb ...... OYO is a giant company which we people in India use very frequently ..... and don't worry about the safety ....
