Yes very unusual vibe in this one, a constant feeling of being lost until the doors dissolve. Thanks for watching:)

I'm not sure, I thought it was new, maybe an older upload if you say you have been playing it for a long time. Thanks for watching:)

There is another short indi backrooms game you could enjoy, but I don't remember its name (I know the word "backrooms" is in the title but that doesn't help much, maybe it was welcome to the backrooms). It was on itchy-o really soon after Kame Pixel's first movie came out and was heavily inspired by it. You had to find five pages glued to the walls to get out, but when you took a page, the monster started running towards you. It could also kills you if it saw you walking in the maze.
It was horrfying, for the monster's footsteps were incredibly loud, his cry was the one in Kane Pixel's movie and it looked like it had a leg injured when it walked or run.

It does seem like a cheap cop-out to add grainy static and pretend that it's because it's "found footage" and not because it takes effort to polish up 3d models and shaders. Alternatively, it can totally work depending on the game. Just look at Lethal Company. It's actually pretty genius how they downscaled things for that game.

Yes growing up playing games in the early 90s, Amazing graphics don't really do anything for games, It does totally depend on the type of game I suppose, I love the from software games and the beautiful graphics work great for huge landscapes and stunning vistas.
For the backrooms games they need an 80s 90s look and feel, hence the pixilated graphics and vhs filters.
