Fans of most football clubs I'm sure are envious of Brighton's recruitment and strategy across all key areas of football (coaches, players and a smart affiliation with Union St. Gilloise). I'm sure they already know who would replace De Zerbi if he was to go. It's shocking that such simple and smart decision-making is so rare in football.

It is very rare to have a combination of perfect time, place and ownership.
Brighton got a great manager with fresh approaches, even when they lost Potter. And De Zerbi is lucky to have prolly the best scouting + transfer system in world football rnw, which is down to their owner.
Brighton ranks no1 in ownership investment debt in the Top 5 leagues (owner putting their own cash without depending on the club's revenues).
But so many owners have invested alot in so many clubs, making Bloom's astuteness even more impressive.
As an Arsenal fan who grew up on hidden gems and low investment but beautiful football, Brighton has so easily become my 2nd favorite team.
It's a shame English football runs on elitism, regional bias and allows corruption and monopoly to thrive.
Else we'd see more stories like Leicester, with teams like Brighton doing even better.

I feel bad for Brighton because I suspect they’ll become victims of their own success. De Zerbi is so brilliant that I think he’ll be poached by a Champions League team after another year, and it’ll be hard for them to hold on to their players in the coming seasons. If I were advising De Zerbi, I would advice him to sit tight for another year or so, build his rep (make a deep cup run and qualify for CL,potentially) and then make a move to either Man City or Liverpool (once Klopp/ Pep leave)...instead of taking the Man United job in the near future.

He's not like another Italian coach who choose Catenaccio or defensive formation. His strategy build is very different and more attractive and also can be applied to every player he choose even that player is in debut or labels as a star player.

Usual stereotyping of Italian coaches. Please get with the times. Most Italian coaches have moved on from catenaccio years ago. You probably don’t watch Serie A but there are many exciting coaches in that league - Italiano, Dionisi, Palladino, Gasperini, Spalleti, Pioli to name a few. Even Older coaches like Mancini, Ancellotti and Gasperini don’t play catenaccio.

I think the solution to this man utd mess is to fire Ten Hag NOW!!! because he has lost the dressing room, rarely uses youth, a rigid coach who uses the same sytem every time despite failure & doesn't like squad rotation, then on temporary basis bring a good vibes coach to pamper these prima donnas they might finish top 4 then in summer bring a no nonsense coach like De Zerbi & carry out a PROPER CLEAR OUT. One good thing with De Zerbi is he can do wonders with youth and average players....united won't require superstar signings he will work with talents like Openda, Jonathan Davids, Ivan Toney, Vlahovic, Brahim Diaz, Sergej Milenkovic, Ousmane Diomande, , Johan bakayoko, zubimendi, Latin America talent, replace Rashford with mitoma or Leao etc
