    Weathering the fuel tanks makes sense but ordinance (excluding older bombs) isn't typically weathered. At least not missles.

    May I ask Why have you decided to use acrylics? What is the secret 😂 Im not able to do it right … excellent building btw!!!!

    • @DarkSideModeler
      @DarkSideModeler  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks for your comment. To be honest, I started to work with acrylics when I started the scale modelling… it is easier to manipulate, to thin…etc… In fact I think that each modeler have is own préférée material (paint, tools,…) So when you feel confortable with one do not change.

    Bought one for my upcoming birthday. How long does this take if I just don't have to tools. Can I still assemble it

    • @DarkSideModeler
      @DarkSideModeler  ปีที่แล้ว

      it's going to be complicated. At the very least, you'll need a pair of pliers to cut the parts off the bunches, some sandpaper, some special plastic model glue and a scalpel. I've never tried to build a model without tools... I recommend you invest in a tool kit that you can find for cheap on Amazon, for example.

    While I highly applaud your skills & abilities, heavily dirtying & weathering this jet was inaccurate. F-16s in general aren't dirty (though they will have some streaking on the ventrals, bathtub & donut), & get wiped regularly & between flights. Have Glass tends to have a darker hue but anything white will be bright white. This kit depicts a pimp jet, which represents the entire wing & if it ever really looked like that, crew chiefs would be fired & would come in on the weekend to correct it, for however long it took on the wash rack. Also, pitot, AOA, air data, & total temp probes would be highly polished, as would the turkey feathers. Back before Have Glass, jets looked fairly new years after delivery. I hate to critique so much, especially since my skills don't meet yours, but I think modern USAF jets are overdone, particularly the 16. Foreign sales aircraft are a different story. This one might be underdone for one of those.
