The key is to have less clutter. Define your spaces for your needs. When that area gets crowded then get rid of some things. If a shelf in a closet is for towels and it is spilling over then turn the old towels into rags and put them with your cleaning supplies. Always put things in their proper place. It is difficult to manage a household in clutter. First time watching and I get the impression you have been through a lot. So have I. I understand. You will feel peaceful and calm.
My problem is my late husband had hoarder tendencies. I have so much to go through and had no place to put anything. I had to get a storage unit just so I could make progress. When he was first diagnosed with his cancer, my kids rented a dumpster and went through a lot of the stuff in the house. The one bedroom was pretty much cleaned out so that it could be used as a bedroom for him. He filled it back up.
I lost my Dad, Mom (both very active farmers) and a set of Grandparents since May of 2020. The amount of stuff to do and the amount of stuff to go through can be overwhelming. I just do what I can, when I can. Sometimes it’s the mental part that is hard to overcome. You’ve had health issues too. Be sure to reward yourself with rest & relaxation along the way.
@@sharonpennington439 I'm trying to. Right now, I'm trying to get a lot done because I'm going to go to Kentucky soon. I'd love to have the upstairs clean at the very least. It would be so nice to come home to a clean house. That hasn't happened in years!

Right now, I think mine may be messier. Haven't had time to do much.
Remember, I also have the basement and the "attic".
