The algorithm calculated that the first sketch was such a succes that audiences would watch it again . They recycled it and will keep doing so until people get bored.

I really appreciate bad bunny, Pedro pascal, and Marcello speaking Spanish so slow that even those with only basic Spanish skills can follow. This is one of the best skits on SNL.
I couldnt follow pedro or the other guy. I could only understand the son. Pedro was second most difficult to understand.
For those who don’t understand Spanish like me, it’s still hilarious. I’m sure there a jokes for the Spanish speakers, but only understanding a few hilarious random words each sentence is in itself hilarious

Marcello graduated at my high school. A world class talented man, hilarious comedy man. I remember my senior year, and he was a 7th grader playing soccer and hanging out. He always had a crowd around him laughing. Good to see him flourish.

Facts! I did not know it was a universal thing. I was smiling as the mom through the stuff away. In my head I wondered what she would put inside because I knew she wouldn't throw such a good container away. When the sewing stuff went in, I started cracking up and said, "Duh, of course!"

As a Filipina, everything the tía, and mamá do is so relatable! My mom, my lola, and titas are the same way: cookie tin as a sewing kit, not understanding mental health, saying we never eat enough (except in my family they also will say we are getting fat, in the same breath)!
You wouldn't believe how many Southern Grandmas do this too. I remember being in middle school and visiting my great aunt and on her coffee table was a cookie tin with a half finished knitting project that looked to be about the same age as my Dad (this relative had somewhat of a hoarding issue) and knitting needles that looked very old. Going to her house kinda gave my the creeps.

Clearly, there were a lot of Spanish-speakers in the audience, judging from the knowing laughter. But Marcello did a great job of scripting in a way that knowledge of Spanish wasn’t necessary to follow the dialog. Bien hecho!

I think that's what made the skit so genius. Their tone and the occasional english made it easy for everyone to understand, and those of us who don't speak spanish felt like the girl, who could clearly tell they were talking shit lol

Being a Latino raised in America, this sketch hit home on so many levels. And, yes, I grew up and married a white American girl.
