I am sure the FBI has that evidence or is working on obtaining that evidence and that is what will send her to prison not this meeting or that other meeting in Vegas.

There were only 30 in attendance , according to Fox32 . Not many compared with the 200 against her at the last Dolton Township meeting . Folk shouldn't believe any finance figures until they have been independently audited by CPA's.

One that the township residents weren't told about ahead of time and most likely Freeman or Price notified media. Interestingly enough, last Thornton Township meeting, Price was just part of the public comment, but this time he sat right next to her. Did he get promoted? SMH. She truly is the village idiot.

It’s not Dolton. Dolton is a small village within the Township. She didn’t create that surplus. That was from the Former Township Supervisor
And this is why i don't feel sorry for the residents of Dolton. I'm no longer a resident there, and going forward, im done looking at this story. How can people be content with this Mayor/Supervisor? Dolton and, to a greater extent, Thornton Township, is very poor. You drive down Dolton, Riverdale, Harvey, Dixmoor, Calumet City and other cities, you will discover blocks upon blocks of vacant homes, dilapidated homes, and homes where they need to be torn down. How can you be content with that? How can you, as a resident, be content with a Supervisor spending money on lavish things, misappropriating the funds, and using tax payers funds to go on lavish vacations, places where these residents will never go to in a lifetime? How can you be content with this leadership? This is why i can not feel sorry for the residents. They voted her in as Mayor, and so they get what they deserve
She was not elected as township supervisor, she was appointed by trustees when the previous supervisor died. You can't blame the people.

Can anyone explain to me: 1) what kind of authority Lightfoot has to do any investigation and 2) if she did find something, could it even be used against SuperMayor if Lightfoot is not a registered investigator? I know she was a federal investigator before she was mayor.

@@thirtynine3955 she has the same authority as your or i. in other words, absolutely zilch considering she's not counsel for them. that's an important thing, as it's my understanding that only your lawyer representing you can get depositions or subpoenas after you file a lawsuit (if you represent yourself you can get those, too, but the system is rigged to where the layperson is bound to screw the process up somehow).
i don't know why ppl think her being an ex-federal prosecutor gives her magic powers. if she was actually representing them in a lawsuit, then, yeah, she could request a subpoena from the court (apparently generally given by the clerk of courts) or arrange for an out of court deposition. they already use odelson (i think that's his name), and he actually is their attorney who i assume represents them as a filing attorney.
here, she's just some idiot poking around with no authority at all.
i'm not sure what you mean by 'registered investigator' and 'federal investigator.' she was a federal prosecutor, the kind of steppingstone you use if you plan on entering politics or becoming a judge, so i'm not sure why some people think she was out there dusting for prints or navigating the dark underground of the criminal world in disguise in search of a key witness held captive in a secret location. that's what people who don't sit in air-conditioned offices all day do.
some of this is a little fuzzy to me and i'm not finding easy answers to simple questions while researching it. my takeaways are this, and don't quote me on anything:
* you have to be legal counsel representing the party and file a lawsuit to have any investigative authority and even then that has to be requested through the court, though a subpoena can be granted by the clerk of court as representative of a judge.
* a subpoena requires you to show up for a deposition.
* some depositions may just be arranged by the attorneys without the red tape involved, but they still have rules to follow. even in this case the witness is bound to tell the truth as it's still recorded as evidence.
so, no, beetlejuice has no investigative authority, less even than odelson. her 'power' is in her celebrity. otherwise, she has no particular skills to advance the cause. and, once she gives her 'recommendations' (her word), imo that constitutes legal counsel and opens herself up to a lawsuit. i hate to say it, but del galdo is technically right here when he sent out his warnings, which is when they called her a 'special investigator.' i reckon she can be called that, but once she gives advice, then it's counsel. if they were smart -- and they're not -- it makes better sense in my small brain for her to give anything over to odelson and have him make the recommendations, not her.
if she happens to stumble on some evidence that odelson hasn't and the feds somehow missed, there's nothing she can do with it other than tell the feds. i don't see any reason why any legally obtained evidence by anyone, lawyer or not, can't be used. again in my best guesswork, i imagine that could mean she possibly could be deposed with the idea that since she's not their legal counsel she has no attorney-client privilege.
to re-iterate, don't take my word on any of this, but i hope it helped and by all means research it, too. quote me at your own risk, lol.
