My Shit...Shady Groove...When I first heard this joint...I fell in love with their laid back gogo sound...so sweeet!!! DC/Richmond, VA connect always kept you in tune to the GoGo scene...!!!
This sound reached the UK and we LOVED it. criminally overlooked band, smooth, tight yet cranking. TBH I love this as much as any of the big gogo names.RESPECT!
Respect... I have to agree with you and I'm from the DMV and grew up back then. This was BIG! Had us all shocked that the VA had a band like this that few new about until this came out.
Man I was living on Rt.1 in Alexandria when this joint was rockn youngin. T.C Williams Crew....Town Boys...Highway Crew....you allready know..Mt.Vernon High...all day erryday..
Yea, I lived all up and down the highway, I lived in the Hole and in Town. But moved to Oxon Hill in 85. Memories. Remember Beacon Mall, the Multiplex?
Some great memories listening to them and playing ball in Janna Lee (The Highway for those who don't know) I wish they would've gotten a bigger push cause they had that crank!!

anybody remember when WOL used to play go-go on weekday afternoons. We get home from school and turn on AM radio listen to some Go-Go!!!!
This was the early 80's when gogo was for real.
There are many amazing Go-Go bass performances, but this side of pure magic is the peak.

Straight up this was one of the crankingest go-go cuts from the 80s. nothing was better than going to a cook out and they start cranking the go-go.
