I wish all concert goers in the world that love live music couldve experienced the start of Chuck's performances at least once , the crowd yelling "wind me up Chuck!" ,the energy building up, ready to party, it stays with you over decades. I still think about seeing Chuck 3 decades ago.
I tell people all the time that you have to experience GoGo live to appreciate the magic. You can hear it on the radio but once you feel that vibe live you will be hooked.

At the end of the concert, Steve came on stage and said, while bowing to 'Chuck', ..."I have never experienced anything like this,..oh my God!" And, ..he talked about the concert, Chuck, and experiencing live Chuck Brown for the 1st time. He later booked Chuck to play the 'Hoodie Awards'.
I first heard Go-Go music back in the 80's when I picked up a compilation called Go-Go Crankin'. Then I picked up some Trouble Funk. Chuck Brown, Trouble Funk, EU, etc. Some great music came out of D.C. All praise to King Chuck!!!
