Thanks for the video, I just ran out of string the first time and I've been dreading messing with it after reading bad reviews on the head. That being said it wasn't nearly as bad as people make it out mine held 30ft of .80 and I had to snug it up a bit to fit. As long is its done clockwise shouldn't be any issues I think after a couple times this may be faster then doing it on my husqvarna hopefully it lasts the same as the DeWalt has become my favorite trimmer especially now that I've put some proper string in it works like a beast!
The internet doesn’t have a whole lot of resources about this exact trimmer. If you search it by model it shoots back the one with the different spool housing. I took mine off to replace entire assembly and now it just kind of grinders for a second and doesn’t fire. I can’t find a parts diagram or anything to see if maybe I dropped a washer or something. Anyways great video and thank you
NOTE: It has been graciously pointed out to me that when turning the outer ring to put the line back on, you need to turn it CLOCKWISE, NOT COUNTERCLOCKWISE as I do in the video. Umm yeah, so My Apologies for the confusion!

How do you get the line wrapped around?

Put in string evenish about 20 feet cap on hold center mass and the bottom the lid looking piece with the arrows point to holes spin counterclockwise
I’ve done this exactly as demonstrated by you and others. Unfortunately mine jams every time. Not sure what’s wrong.

Mine also jams. Even with the original factory line, it jammed up some. It looks like the previous spool system may have been superior.
