The pricing of these trucks are just so outrageous
Yep, it’s hilarious. I drive a used BMW and get folks in new pick-ups teasing me about how much I spent because they’ve got the ingrained mindset that trucks are “working class.” When a used Maverick is as much as a used X3, I’m getting the one with heated rear seats. :-)
Yeah 36k would get you a full size truck a couple years ago, now that’s just a step up from the base trim of a midsize truck.
The value of our money has collapsed
@@nareshangelia-sookrajjr.1365 and good luck finding a lower trim truck on the lot ;) at best a dealer might let you order one.
@@nareshangelia-sookrajjr.1365years ago. Grow up, the worlds at war and inflations real.
This is priced the same as Cybertruck. Didn’t realize pickup trucks were this expensive.
They have been expensive for a very long time.
Sticker shock goes well beyond just pickup. Have you price shopped some of the basic transportation? The average price of a new car today approaches $40k.
Sucks the costs of trucks these days, but the Ram has been a great looking truck. Inside and out.
Great review of a BEAUTIFUL truck. Thanks for taking the time to review this beautiful truck!
This new Ram grill looks great!
Good review. With so many options it’s a lot of info and this was the best organized and informative presentation yet on the new Ram. TY.
Thanks for watching, Ira!
Great commentator! Very professional. Love thatTungsten truck! Beautiful truck
$40,000 for a base pick-up? Things have gotten out of control... Wow...
On the other hand, you're getting a lot more even on the average truck today than your dad did back in the day. The price of all vehicles has increased along with all those new features and safety tech.
That's the whole problem! What if someone doesn't want or can't afford "all those new features?" @@krane15
Excellent review 👌🏾
This review was refreshing, you did the thang
Appreciate you Shaun. This one was some work for real but I’m glad you enjoyed 🎉
Great review. Thanks!
Great video, well organized and to the point.
Much appreciated, Marceau
Fantastic video Mike!😸
Appreciate you, Ryan!
Great review.
Thanks Jose!
Great review
I currently own the 5th gen Ram. Great Truck inside-out. Very confortable and spacious. But I'll probably buy the 2025 model in 2030 or later. So, in a few years, I'll be visiting this video again. Thank you for the review!
Awesome review 🤠
The red interior is gorgeous! I love RAM and the 2025 Tungsten is top shelf! My boss has a new Wagoneer Series 3 with the Hurrican 3.0L in-line six dual turbos and it will set you back in the seat.
I still don’t trust RAM reliability (especially with the new turbo 6s) but the improvement in interior quality over the last decade across the whole Chrysler family has been seriously impressive.
ive had 2 gmc and 4 fords before my ram and its the most reliable of them all yet
Is that because of a factual reason or just a gut feeling? Its a totally new engine.
they've gotten a lot better since the late 2000s
Consumer reports rates RAM the highest of all full size trucks.
Mike does it again what a 🐐🫡
Very good video
I like the 3.6l pentastar. Good towing, mpg and sounds so good.
Passed by my local ram dealer an ocean of unsold ram1500 as far as the eye could see..
Looks great, should sell well in Australia...lets hope reliability improves. No surprises here...from San Francisco to Maine harbour this will do well. Thanks Mate!!
Stellantis products will never be reliable
Good Review as always, These Full Size trucks are outrageously expensive and then added premium fuel will just be money draining for sure.
Should’ve made the I6 larger to 3.5 liter or at least port & direct injection to wash the valves. I’ll wait to spend my cash.
I cant wait to see these sitting on lots
Great market strategy "Less for more"!
Higher prices, no Hemi and where is it made again?
Btw, great presentation Mike.
Aw thanks friend!
Made in sterling heights, boy
@@dirtbagliberalsnake5729 Michigan stand up!
I think they did a decent job. You can tell this was a mid cycle refresh on a budget. My only complaint is with the front grill. Just seems off with the raised letters.
My 2019 Laramie has been a great truck. But I just can’t get over going from the Hemi to the new hurricane engine. That is a huge no go for me.
Many write about how expensive new trucks are.
1. Considering the tech and features I think they are cheap compared to 20 years ago.
2. If people couldn't afford them, Ram would build cheaper, de-contented trucks. But they sell them all, so plenty of Americans have the money.
3. If you need the capability for work, it pays for itself. If you just like the look, then buy something you can afford.
To refute your comment a little: 1. You will use maybe 20% of that tech and features. 80% of owners go from home to work in these trucks. 2. People cant afford them, thats why they have 72/84 month loans and Americans have the worst debt ever in history. 3. Capability? These Rams have the least payload of all of the big 3 due to their coil rear suspension. Its a gorgeous truck no doubt, but no half ton is worth 80 or even 90K.
Hang on a sec, I recognize where you drove through. That’s Austin, TX! I’d recognize those weird solar panels off of I-35 anywhere.
A man named Danger doesn’t need a hero, he needs horse power.
😂😂😂
I like his shirt and jacket.
nice channel & presenter
Proudly made in Mexico! Great review Mike. It’s nice they are going with a more economical engine. Although these trucks are definitely out of my price change.
Are you implying the Mexican can't build a car?
Not at all. My trip to Monterey was a blast and seeing all the auto manufacturing there was impressive. VW, Ford, GM, Stallantis were all making vehicles just outside the city. Kinda like a new Detroit.
I think the 1500 is made in Michigan while the HD’s are in Mexico.
@@Lq32332HD in Derramadero plant, Saltillo, Coah. Mex. Yes…
So that leaves Ford and GM if you want a V8. . .or the Titan if you want a new in its final year.
Nice truck. But cant say the same about the MSRP
I have loved my LIMITED. These new prices, tho!!😳
Damn they start at 42k , bought my moms 2019 base Laramie v8 for 38k and my 21 Laramie southwest edition for 49k, prices are crazy
80k for a Ram 1500. Never I thought I'd see the day. Where does this end, so it's just going to keep going up and people are going to keep buying? I have a 2011 Ram 1500, way low miles looks like new so to trade up I give them my truck and 70k?
Considering ram has like 200 days of unsold inventory i doubt adding wildly overpriced new models will help
Hands free is amazing. I love it more in stop and go traffic
Think I’m just going to save up for an used Rebel V8 Hemi when I’m ready for a truck.
Imagine telling your 2019 self that the 2025 Ram price will range from $42k - $90k+, and you'll likely see a dealer markup on top; the Hemi V8 will be dead and you can only get a 3.6L hybrid-ish, or 3.0L turbos. And quality has continuously gone downhill.
That manually adjusting steering wheel is a backhand slap in the face!!! If it's a luxury truck it should be motorized/power adjusting!
Happy with my 5 speed manual 4 cylinder 94' Ford ranger
You can run but you cannot hide.
Dodge must be insane thinking these prices will be paid. Cue the rams not selling video to follow in 6 months
what about MPG on 3.0 ?
The irony is that the Pentastar engine got to outlive the Eagle and the Apache.
I'm willing to bet in the next couple of years that they bring back a new updated hemi. Especially since there were rumors of a new one before they went with a v6 turbo.
@UvidCo..............The new Engine is NOT a V-6, It's a STRAIGHT 6 Twin Turbo. Inline 6 Engines are Perfectly balanced, so it is very smooth running.
Is premium gas required or can it run just fine on regular? If regular is fine, what would the hp/tq numbers be then?
@silvergeoff568.....Only the HO option requires premium fuel!
ram would be smart to make an entry level focused truck with a cloth interior that looks purposeful rather than a cheap afterthought. My mother’s 97 Laramie had premium corduroy fabric that was affordable but looked premium atleast. Nowadays the top trims look decent and the entry level interior look like throw away vehicles
Keep seeing this "all-new" moniker attached to this truck but it's really not. Modest refresh.
Hands free is great for long road trips
The good news is you can still buy 2022's new on dealer lots because they can't sell them due to the price. The only people who buy them is businesses, and with all these businesses laying off, no one is buying them.
no V8? I’m good. They can keep it.
I used to be a dodge man since I was young. The prices drove me to other companies 😢
I was not interested in this truck. Until I heard about the sourdough storage unit.
Nice truck, but today's trucks are priced out of my affordable zone.
I don't care how good the hands-free driving is, there's no way I'd drive down that stretch of I35 with all the speeding 18-Wheelers and relying on the truck to manage it all. 😂
So the Toyota Tundra now has more max towing capacity than this refreshed Ram 1500. Interesting
I see toyota Landcruiser vx 2020 upfront
And air suspension eats your tires if you don’t keep car at normal ride height it lowers during the highway , under 20k for a set of tires is common
If your having tire eating issues with your air ride you either have modified something on your ride hight sensors or you have something out of alignment. I have a 10 year old ram with 4 corner air ride and the tires wear normally.
Don't dare compare a twin turbo straight 6 to a proven hemi V8 I've worked on twin scrolling inline 6 bmw used to make them very well. The only weak point of a hemi from my experience is the transmission not capable of handling the power coming from engine at least you can work on it yourself
Ram needs to build a midsized Truck again, the way Gas prcing is going, these Truck are going to become hard ot sell at these ridiculous pricing that FCA increased pricing by 50% over the last five years
I can be your hero baby

@@mulesofttraining haha thanks friend! Hopefully i can keep this look another decade but i don’t wanna push my luck 😅😩
A truck Requiring premium fuel is a big mistake
Premium fuel is just if you want the full hp advertised, it can run off any grade. The ram engineers said this.
Unless those people are members of your local HOA. In which case your luxury truck represents persona non grata.
Beautiful truck. But so expensive and more expensive to drive with the premium fuel requirement.
its not "all new" its a refresh and 20k over priced
They all laughed at Ford but at-least they’ve always offered the V8, Ram just got rid of the V8 in general. 😂😂😂
It's great. I wish it was available for more men.
It's a no-go for me.
RiP hemi v8
Am I buying a house or a truck xD
Fuck that. Should have kept my old Hemi… a Ram without a Hemi is just a Sheep.
So they get rid of the amazing hemi and replace it with a v6 twin turbos that will break down way more? and you need premium fuel? wow.
You dont need to use premium fuel, it has knock sensors and will run off any grade, but to get the full performance numbers, you will have to run premium fuel. Lets hope it is reliable.
@@jamespenner1412 Like he said, if premium fuel is required to get the horsepower of the engine you purchased, then premium is required.
Dodge is a few years back by popular demand the hemi ram 💀💀💀💀
Chevy the best ❤
The driver looked scared as hell, lol.
Hell yeah Imma HANDS-ON type of dude!
Load the truck up, then review. All trucks seem great unloaded.
Load it up… with what? Hopes and dreams?!? It’s a press trip! Ain’t no time for that!!!
@yesmikedanger hahahaha my bad. However in the official review please load it up with stuff. I have a 2022 model with a HEMI. I tow a trailer and then load the bed up. It pulls and pulls. I just wanna see if that straight 6 does the same.
There’s really no difference from the previous model! It looks the same with minor tweaks. So they made the front end look like Tundra lol!!! The only difference is the overall prices of these trucks 💰💰💰🤯
The exhaust must truly sound awful because Ram isn’t allowing it to be filmed
Premium fuel 😮
It's nice truck but no way am I paying anything over 20k for a truck that's just way to much money.
The pricing 😂😂😂
I miss my '17 Laramie, but not the rust. Ram is #1 in ride quality and interior. Verdict is still out on this turbo engine. Wish we still had the V8 option. Biden and his EPA credits screw everything thing up.
Please put Limited in your title so people can see that you reviewed a Limited and not a Tungsten.
…nah
Why are they repeatedly saying it half ton car?? Are they serious that all this truck is only 500kg = 1000 lp???
Noooo it doesn’t refer to the “weight” of the truck but rather the old payload capacities of these trucks which was 1000 lbs (half of a ton). The newer trucks have more payload, but the name “1/2 ton truck” stuck with them.
No V-8? No sale. At least not from me.
I think putting that type of engine in a vehicle is a big mistake because it will just keep people from stopping when being chased by police thinking they can out run the police and give the bad guys another source of power other then the high performance chargers and challengers. And besides that the gas mileage is worse than the hemi from what I have heard
Premium gas for any of the engines that aren't their base level? Premium gas... for a truck?! I had my last RAM truck for over 10 years, but it's stuff like this why I didn't buy RAM for my next vehicle- they are so disconnected from their buyers, which is why they have over 700 day inventory where most manufacturers have a 80 day inventory.
The Nissan Titan takes premium also..
You dont need to run premium fuel, it has knock sensors, and will run off any grade, to get the full power advertised, you will have to run premium.
NO V8 and two turbos help the V6. NO thank you! turbos and labor can get very expensive. V8 4x4 under $50k PLEASE!
Turns out ram has denied its fans new trucks for so long because they were designing ev’s and grilles 🤣🤣
Rambros can’t laugh at themselves 💩
Wtf now you need premo fuel?......
$80k+ AND Premium fuel required?! Hard pass.
