I have a 2019 RAM Limited half ton I purchased new in 2019. It has been the BEST truck I've ever owned and I've owned over 15 trucks total. I have over 80K miles and have had zero problems, it's never been in the shop. I perform all of the oil changes and preventive maintenance items on it myself. The truck rides like the day I purchased it, quiet, great ride and no squeaks or rattles. It is just a great tuck. I love the air suspension especially when I tow my 9,500 lb. trailer. I am getting 19 MPH both highway and in town driving. I waited for the manufacturer rebates and got $20K off. Having said that, the GMC front end looks so amazing, what a great looking truck!. The RAM looks great and it does look better with the refresh but the GMC still looks nicer. When I look at the GMC small sunroof, not a true flat floor rear, and the interior is still just not that great, I think overall the RAM would be a nicer truck to own. So this video really summed it up well and RAM is a better truck.

I aswell have a 19 ram limited! and i love it more than anything except wife and kids ,i did previously own a 2006 f150 that as of 135k was headache after headache ram just seems to keep hitting it out of the park on every design since 5th gen came knocking, i tow my boat but thats only 3k lbs so its not even behind me when light turns green or red for that matter no sweat! It has all i could even need really ive had it about 5 yrs now 158k on it no probs oh sry sway bar links but i think thats because i use the air suspension almost daily, especially hooking up the boat i dont even need to crank trailer, just drop the truck line up back under and raise her up just gota get out to lock it down but i am curious about the new hurricane durability but ram has great homework on power output i hope they can stand the test of time....
I have to say cheer again to ram.. i definitely dont regret it sofar and probably will just upgrade in the next 5 yrs

Y’all said the same thing in 2019. Stellantis will go bankrupt trying to compete with *gm* in this space. If they knew this customer better the new “luxury” Jeeps would be the best sellers of their respective segments, not the Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade. They haven’t learned a thing watching Ford try to compete in the same regard. 🤷🏽‍♂️

@@G-Rated? For almost 5 years RAM has made very small revisions and Ford/GM are still trying to catch up. Truthfully, outside of materials, Klipsch audio and 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Overland seats, this is the same interior as my old 2020 RAM 1500 Limited. They didn't need to do much because they were so far ahead.

    • @G-Rated

@@gebertgwhat a delusional statement. The Sierra has had technology like HUD and exclusive conveniences like the Multi-Pro tailgate, rear view camera mirrors, and bi-functional side assist steps that nobody else was offering way back in 2019. Some of this stuff RAM just received last year in an update. *gm’s* own customers wanted a more luxurious interior and in 2022 during the refresh they obliged existing customers. That wasn’t to “catch up” to RAM who still failed to sell more half-ton trucks in a calendar year than *gm.*
RAM just caught up to *gm’s* 2022 trucks. It just costs $5k-$10k more. Being more powerful or faster from 0-60 doesn’t mean it’s the better overall luxury truck. Tungsten are just Jeeps with a bed. 😂

The question was "KING OF LUXURY". Ram, since 2019, has risen to the occasion of leading that space. Sure, it wont have the max tow or haul numbers, but Ram fully understands that isn't what this specific class is all about. Most of the buyers in this class already own some type of luxury vehicle, but sometimes they prefer a truck to do truck things. We also must take into account that the pickup has become the de-facto family vehicle in many American homes, so it certainly makes sense to offer a luxury variant.
With Ram, it is apparent that the product planners get it. Everything that is touched or seen reminds the owner of luxury. They went so far as to completely change the seating, which is not shared with any other Ram trim. Sure it is more expensive, but it offers an additional 120hp, air suspension, more opulent rear seating accommodations(GMC offering only one interior 120V plug in a truck is a huge miss), vastly superior audio system, panoramic moonroof, 2Kw bed inverter(missed point there), bed cover(another missed point), painted wheel flares, and better storage solutions for just $4K more.
The GMCs 6.2 V8 is a gem of an engine ans always has been, and I do still like the styling of the Sierra. But I'd take a standard Denali and save thousands since the Ultimate really doesnt make a clear separation like Ram does from Limited to Tungsten.

    • @karlb8069
      @karlb8069 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

I agree. And at this price point for either truck, the Ram gets the nod because for me I will have to keep this puppy for at least 10 years to get an affordable payment. I'm glad I waited. I almost bought the Denali last year.

I've had a 2020 Ram Longhorn put up 75k on it in 2 years, i had 2 issues with it. The moonroof leaked and a manifold bolt broke. That was it, super fun to drive but the suspension wasn't the best (non-air) on tight curvy highways going the speed limit. I now have a GMC 2022 refreshed Denali with super cruise and both trucks have their differences for sure. The seats in the GMC are like sitting on boards, and the moonroof is small. Not to mention I had a leak in it as well a month or so ago. I bought it new and I love the truck especially the Super Cruise. The Super Cruise is a deal breaker for me, it truly is a awesome feature for the truck and other automobiles in the GM family. The shifters in my opinion goes to GMC, its feels smoother than the Rams almost a more natural movement. Informant center I had issues with in the Ram often, but not often enough to go get it checked out for warranty. The sound system in the Ram wasn't the greatest, I like the GMC Bose system better. I'm gonna test drive the new Ram when it becomes more available, its looks like a really comfortable ride. I want to see how their hands free system works. Good review for the time period.

Both luxury trucks are amazing! Ownership of 17 different trucks consisting of Ford, GM, and Ram, it is definitely the "RAM" is the hands down winner!! In this segment, towing above 11,000 is just silly, I would go back to a 2500 truck if that was the case, so GM having that edge is not in the formula. Also, heavy hauling large payloads, same thing here.

I would say the missed opportunity in both these vehicles for better ride quality is the wheel and tire package. They don't have enough sidewall. Going with a smaller 18" wheel and much more sidewall would yield a better ride.

    GMC
I love all the horsepower I can get, so the Ram is tempting.
But, it's just NOT good looking.
It scores even lower now that GMC has saddle tan seats and Ram no longer does.
The most disappointing part of the horsepower game, is how all of them are giving cheat code turbos and chargers to the small engines, but not to V8.
    It's obvious hate.
I've observed for years and years that there's little MPG advantage in smaller engines once you start pushing them to compete with V8s.
The 4 bangers do seem to have some advantage in town MPG, but the V8s seem to have an advantage on the hwy and when towing.
So, why do they keep hating on the V8s?
Someone needs to defund the EPA.
That air suspension sounds awesome, but my Adaptive Ride is quite lovely too.
I completely despise GM for moving the shifter to the console and consuming all that space.
However, I could NEVER live with myself if I bought a truck with a sissy *$$ shift knob on the dash.
One thing I like about Ram is the swing open tailgates.
I love my Multipro tailgate, but I like that you can reach further inside with a swing open gate.
I didn't see guys didn't talk about that.
If they discontinued that, they threw away a significant advantage.
I also like the hidden storage in the floor better than GM's in the seat back.
Well, it sounds better anyway. I haven't experienced that floor storage for my self and how I use my truck.
But, I do know when I have the back seat loaded with gear, it can be hard to get to the seat storage.
I don't know why we can't have both.
Ram threw away another advantage by losing the tow mirrors.
That's one thing I've always liked about Ram.
Anyway, all things considered, I would have to go with GMC, if I were buying another truck right now.
