Hi! Your videos has always been inspiration to me and help me a lot. This Vray is giving me problems despite watching your videos several times. Please I need a video on how to do the settings for the VFB and how generate more than one image and locate them because am not seeing them in my output setting folder. Thanks
when I am rendering with default Vray sunlight and sky I am getting transparent background not getting any sky getting lights one my objects perfectly but no any background.
This issue happens because the new V-Ray for Blender add-on is still in beta, so unexpected glitches like this can occur. Check if the V-Ray Sky is properly set in the environment settings and ensure the alpha channel is disabled.
If I make any setting, then the suddenly the scene is missing in the final render. You can only see the HDRI as if it were superimposed on it. Only after closing and restarting blender, the scene is rendered again.
This sounds like a glitch, possibly due to memory or V-Ray’s beta state. Try saving your work, closing, and restarting Blender as a temporary fix. Also, check your render settings and ensure all objects are enabled for rendering
I'm ignorant as I don't use Blender for rendering at all. But what is the benefit of V-Ray over Cycles exactly? Is it just more realistic or something?
V-Ray is a professional render engine focused on photorealism, offering advanced features for high-quality, detailed renders. Cycles, Blender’s built-in engine, is open-source and great for general use but can be slower and less efficient for complex scenes.
V-Ray is in beta, so unexpected errors can occur. This error usually means the V-Ray server is still initializing-wait a minute and try again. If it persists, check if the server is installed and running properly.
it's not a game changer, the case of blender is difference from the rest, most of the blender users are hobbiest who rarely use it for commercial works, because people who use blender they don't use it because it's better than the rest of the 3d softwares like maya, c4d, houdini, 3ds. but they use it because it's free, and all the addons for blender are available at an afordable price, you're crazy to think blender users will pay 400$ only for a render engine! that's not gonna happen. chaos eventually will discontinue the development of v-ray for blender. unless they sell it for half the price of other software.
I don't understand why Chaos switched sides. Could it be that they want to give V-Ray away for free? Or do they want Blender users to start paying? This is truly a joke from Chaos.
@@AlexNguyen_Design They want blender users to pay for vray! but they don't know anything about blender community! blender community will come up with 1000 biased arguments about cycle being far better than vray!
I understand your point. While Blender is popular among hobbyists, its professional user base is expanding quickly. Many studios and freelancers now use it commercially, and for those who need advanced rendering capabilities, V-Ray could be worth the investment despite the cost.
@@KosretEbdulrehman Wrong. You obviously know very little or nothing at all of the industry. I teach Blender privately and three of my current clients all work for large companies. One's an advertising and media production company, one's a packaging and clothing marketing company, and one's an agricultural company. In the past I've also had people who worked for a mining company and one of the largest VFX houses in Australia.
i still feel with the right lighting techniques and post process effects cycles can outperform V ray and octane
Definitely! 🙂 With the right lighting and post-processing, Cycles can rival or even outperform V-Ray and Octane.
Octane - no
VRay - yes by mile
I love the native Blender flexibility across all its functions.
Maybe vray is not confident about 3ds max future 🤔
@@ImpacDezyn i sure wouldnt be. 3Ds max is falling apart, been using it for 10+ years and i want to leave it badly.

Thanks for the feedback! I'll definitely consider making a video on V-Ray settings and rendering multiple images.

Do you need vray standalone for the addon?
No, you don't need V-Ray Standalone.

Vray i used in maya before, but damn do i feel the native blender nodes are much more intuitive...
True, Blender nodes are great for a reason.
they are thinking about letting vray use more of the blender nodes. The software is still in beta
That’s great to hear!
are you using windows 10 or 11? stuck on chaos licensing in windows 11
Windows 11
Your blender theme name?
"eclipse" from blender.org
@Velvver-art thanks man
