Eevee (Blender’s main engine) is still more stylish (it is far better for stylised rendering) and quicker than both and with the Goo Engine teem now working on it, it’s going to get better and more stylish.

The two engines have different purposes and what you call Stilized is the aesthetic that Eevee achieves by using resources in a way to be able to speed up the render and nothing else, but commercially it does not give the levels of realism that customers like, that is why one uses more Cycles, Eevee will improve of course as the hardware also improves and uses fewer shortcuts to simulate realism without wasting resources, but it does not obey to achieve a specific aesthetic, it is the best that can be done with fewer resources, they are even different markets.

I wouldn't say it's Eevee as the main engine...

Many see the use of Vray as an evolution of Blender, but I take a cautious view. Blender's business model will inevitably drive the purchase of add-ons; it's ironic that a $500+ render engine with RTX40 minimum requirements is in free software, maintaining backwards compatibility despite Blender's structural problems. This add-on approach and business model hurt 3ds Max, which once had 11,000 plugins, delaying the evolution of its native features based on parallel markets and licensing. For example, the development of CAT in 3ds Max took ten years. In my opinion, Blender will create two levels of users: those who can afford the best render engine and a series of add-ons that put it on par with competitors, and those who will continue to use Blender without significant improvements, waiting for updates and free add-ons. This will magnetize the market towards those willing to invest more, causing prices for addons to rise, something we have already witnessed, reaching the point where some plugins were more expensive than 3ds Max itself.

Blender may be the future, it is a great and free program in the software market that makes it a wonder, but let's be honest with ourselves, we do not know what the future of Blender is. The near future may be very bright, and it may not be Blender now, where you can do 75% of the professional work, and this is not easy for a free program available in the entire world, but I use Maya because it is also a great program, not difficult or complicated, and it contains everything you can think of to create projects with the quality you want. Blender may outperform Maya in some things, especially the add-ons, the quick display method, and some things that are not easy to do in Maya, but Maya remains the monster of the major industry, and Blender is behind it. The future may change, but now I am learning Maya and I give after a few hours to Blender as well, as it inspires me. Thank you for the clip, and I wish Blender a bright future.

A solid summary! Since Chaos is now offering access to the Blender Beta, it would be good to know if it's worth giving it a try. I honestly don't want the integration headache or more complex workflow, but maybe the quality and speed you describe would make it worthwhile?
