    Eevee (Blender’s main engine) is still more stylish (it is far better for stylised rendering) and quicker than both and with the Goo Engine teem now working on it, it’s going to get better and more stylish.

      @RicardorVFX หลายเดือนก่อน

      The two engines have different purposes and what you call Stilized is the aesthetic that Eevee achieves by using resources in a way to be able to speed up the render and nothing else, but commercially it does not give the levels of realism that customers like, that is why one uses more Cycles, Eevee will improve of course as the hardware also improves and uses fewer shortcuts to simulate realism without wasting resources, but it does not obey to achieve a specific aesthetic, it is the best that can be done with fewer resources, they are even different markets.

      I wouldn't say it's Eevee as the main engine...

      eevee is definitely NOT the main engine of cycles

    Many see the use of Vray as an evolution of Blender, but I take a cautious view. Blender's business model will inevitably drive the purchase of add-ons; it's ironic that a $500+ render engine with RTX40 minimum requirements is in free software, maintaining backwards compatibility despite Blender's structural problems. This add-on approach and business model hurt 3ds Max, which once had 11,000 plugins, delaying the evolution of its native features based on parallel markets and licensing. For example, the development of CAT in 3ds Max took ten years. In my opinion, Blender will create two levels of users: those who can afford the best render engine and a series of add-ons that put it on par with competitors, and those who will continue to use Blender without significant improvements, waiting for updates and free add-ons. This will magnetize the market towards those willing to invest more, causing prices for addons to rise, something we have already witnessed, reaching the point where some plugins were more expensive than 3ds Max itself.

      I thought the same. i didnt like the integration of vray which will end up making blender exploited and corrupted. Blender shouldnt allow big companies to make addons for their business. They should takre fee from commercial companies, same as UE does for big companies , but not for users of course.
      Imagine people (out of blender community) will just use blender as a means to get cheaper total cost by using vray with blender . but they wont even donate or wont care development of blender in other aspects. if Addons will be based on vray, then cycles ignored. 😕 then noone will bother to develop cycles if it gets unpopular. Then second group will unable to use addons due to no cycles suppport or prices (maybe too pessimistic just some ideas😅)

    I tried Vray for blender and it didnt work for me, cycles its easy and its perfect for me, maybe the Vray team fix problems and gets easier workflow.

      Vray is industry standard for a reason. All of those big budget movies you see from Hollywood use Vray. The Bulgarian team know what they are doing. You just have to learn the workflow!

    I’ll hold off for a while longer! I’m good for now, not to mad at rendering 5 frames in 12 seconds for a 1000 frame clip! 😌

    A solid summary! Since Chaos is now offering access to the Blender Beta, it would be good to know if it's worth giving it a try. I honestly don't want the integration headache or more complex workflow, but maybe the quality and speed you describe would make it worthwhile?

    Instead of paying for vray…which is inevitable…what if you bought another gpu…so maybe you have (2)4090s….can cycles take full advantage of those 2 gpus ?…would it be twice as fast as vray then ?

    • @greenDAVID-n2x
      @greenDAVID-n2x 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      I know the CEO of Chaos Group personally, he has said to me (of the record) that he doesn't mind if some people who can't afford it, to use a pirated version. I mean the guys are geniuses and they come from Bulgaria, they know how rough it can be for students and freelancers. So its nice to use an industry standard beast renderer like Vray...it just on a whole new level. I have been using 3ds max with Vray for the last 20 years and moved to Blender 2 years ago and I have always HATED sooo many things about the render settings and render viewport...such a horrible design and not easy to use UI. Vray is just on a whole new level, I just hope they integrate it the same way they did in 3Ds Max or even Sketch Up.

      @greenDAVID-n2x How do you understand what a pirated version is? It may contain code that steals your information, such as your bank account or cryptocurrency. These are the types of issues that have been reported in recent years.

    I purchased Vray but ... Cycles is way better in terms of everything for blender , v-ray is cool but not faster at any level 😀 on contrary it is quite slower even on GPU
    what is quite fast and the reason of the purchase is vantage (which is v-ray gpu but with few extra steps )

    Blender may be the future, it is a great and free program in the software market that makes it a wonder, but let's be honest with ourselves, we do not know what the future of Blender is. The near future may be very bright, and it may not be Blender now, where you can do 75% of the professional work, and this is not easy for a free program available in the entire world, but I use Maya because it is also a great program, not difficult or complicated, and it contains everything you can think of to create projects with the quality you want. Blender may outperform Maya in some things, especially the add-ons, the quick display method, and some things that are not easy to do in Maya, but Maya remains the monster of the major industry, and Blender is behind it. The future may change, but now I am learning Maya and I give after a few hours to Blender as well, as it inspires me. Thank you for the clip, and I wish Blender a bright future.
