Once they apply this to the MT-03, you'll start seeing Y-MTs everywhere. MT-09 is the most loved one by far so they started from there I guess. I'm sure it will be loved in overcrowded cities since it's a sexier alternative to a scooter.
I'm definitely getting this. Having no clutch so I can finally dress normally and go to town without bike shoes or without ruining shoes is amazing. Automatic is cool, but the manual "tiptronic" shifter is where the magic lies! In 20 yrs, I can see almost all bikes having this, it is simply superior.
You do not need to get this bike bro..just being honest. You need to learn what everything is properly and what everything is used for, wearing shoes has nothing to do with a clutch lol, even when it’s “clutchless” there is still a clutch involved it’s just another reference to quick shift! Completely different from a car!!!

I needed to have a scooter just because I can't ride my bike in normal clothes around town a few kilometers away, but with this shifter, you can. And no, no one puts their full bike suit just to go for a coffee or to get a bite to eat 10 min away.
@Personal_Comp I wear all the gear all the time, every time. Sure it can be a PITA, but I saw what happened to my brother and the extent of his injuries after a collision on a quick 15m round trip and wearing only a lid. Skin/flesh loss and abrasion is a very, very painful thing, I promise you.
Perfect time to be alive. You can just enjoy the ride istead of thinking what gear you're in or if you pulled the clutch enough or pressed the gear correctly

I still think honda’s e clutch makes more sense. It’s a quickshifter while riding normally and automatically pulls it in at a stop, but you can still manually dial in the clutch in slow speed riding and other scenarios where you might want some more control.

I have only one concern about automatic transmissions, regardless of whether they are dct or yamt or other brands. Normally, the clutch is actually a kind of safety valve, apart from shifting gears. I know that when you stop at a light, you can shift into neutral for safety purposes, but let's think of a scenario where you have to make a tight u-turn and your balance is disrupted, and at this point the transmission is in automatic mode, not in neutral, and you pull on the throttle to hold the motorcycle. Is there a precaution in automatic transmissions to prevent the motorcycle from flying away in this scenario?

I hear a lot of "clunks" when it shifts... also I can see the bike kinda "jumping forward" when shifting. Is it normal? Is this system smoother than manual shifting? I'd really like to try it soon.

I am looking at replacing my NC700S dct and have been looking at these bikes, the MT07 AMT is coming out early next year but what I cannot figure is the 09 is slower than the 07 ( rated top speed ) but the 07 is better for me as it is lower but the load carrying capacity of the 09 would suit me touring better so looks like a visit to a dealer is in order.
@@Fatal_Inertia Just seen the MT 09 AMT in a dealer alongside the 07 and now just waiting to order the 2025 09 in the new colour ice blue not available until next year so need to wait, the 07 was just too small and thats something coming from me plus it is better for touring.
Honda's DCT exists for 15 years. I'm glad Yamaha did something about it as well. Why would you like to change gears in a first place? As in cars automatic is always better
Don't compare DCT and Yamaha Y-AMT. Two different systems and how they work. What Yamaha did is just gave your "robotic" arms that can be controlled with a press of a button. You could easily make this bike Manual again. :)
@@strezification Are you sure? DTC sucks when you want to have fun with manual mode. :) DTC is for old people who wants to drive enduro, maybe cruisers. What Yamaha did they added two actuators to gearbox and made you controle them with one button. So you can have auto model for everyday and manual model where you can switch gears when you want with a single button. It is so genius, and yet so simple. While Honda and others tried to tackle problem my making complicated, nonsense DTC with dual clutch and etc. :)
@@Explow23 I'm 100% sure. I ride a Honda NC750x and for me a motorcycle is a convinient mean of transportation. Get trough traffic easily, get your groceries, park everywhere you want, you can get thing done around town easily and you can travel it to any point in the world over the weekeend or while you are on holiday with it like yoh would do with any other motorcycle and you doing that with 3.6 litres per 100km. Riding a motorcycle is a demanding thing because you are exposed and you need to watch yourself and others in traffic 10 times more opposed to driving a car because one small mistake and you will pay it with your life. Why adding one more thing to care about like changing gear and pressing the clutch when there is a perfect invention like the DCT? I'm not seing the fun in changing gears or riding 200 km/h. The fun for me is riding trough beautiful landscapes with the wind and the scents of the nature around you while your are riding at 60 km/h effortlessly WITHOUT thinking what gear you're in...

Why you would want heavier, slower and less versatile gearbox when you can have simple invention as Y-AMT. Best from the two worlds. Want automatic? No problem, it works perfectly for everyday use. Want to take bike to race track and save time while changing gears? You have that too.

Οπως κάθε τι στη ζωή αυτή έχει θετικά και αρνητικά. + Ευκολία στην κίνηση + Ξεκουραστο για την πόλη + Επιτέλους keyless + Engine break + Σου κατεβάζει την ταχύτητα αυτόματα οταν χαμηλώνουν οι στροφές ακόμα και στο manual για να μην σβησει ο κινητήρας - κλοτσάει στα κατεβασματα - Το αυτόματο δεν βολευει για σβελτη οδηγηση ουτε το D+ (καλύτερα manual και -2 κάτω ταχύτητες για να τσιμπήσει) - δεν μπορείς να την κινήσεις σβηστή αν την έκλεισες με ταχύτητα και οι ταχύτητες δεν ανεβοκατεβαίνουν απλά με ρεύμα και σβηστή την μηχανή. Φαντάζομαι αναβάτες απο τον κόσμο των scooter/παπιών που θέλουν μηχανή αλλά δεν θέλουν να ασχολούνται με τον συμπλέκτη θα την χαρούν περισσότερο.

bike shoes are for protecting your feet and ankles in the case of a slide. people don't wear bike shoes for anything else

If you're able to operate a manual bike, the tracer 9gt or tracer900 would be a great step up from your NC700.

The e-clutch is not automatic. You always shift manually . The best automatic is the dct from Honda.

Σήμερα σε αυτό το βίντεο δεν φαίνονται οι αλλαγες στο μενού της μοτο. Άρα δεν καταλαβαίνω πως λειτουργεί αυτό το πράγμα. @@motoraw
Υπότιτλοι από κάτω σε 4-5 σημεία που θες να δείξεις κάτι, είναι μια χαρά προσθήκη. Και δεν χρειάζεται να απασχολείς τον εαυτό σου με νοήματα όταν θες να δούμε κάτι, πχ cruise control. @@motoraw
Έχει ένα κουμπί στην δεξιά πλευρά που αλλάζεις από manual σε auto. Το manual είναι ίδιο με το απλό MT, ενώ το auto έχει το D και το D+

Πιο άμεσο σίγουρα, αλλά νιώθεις το χτύπημα στις αλλαγές του κιβωτίου πράγμα το οποίο εμένα δεν με ενόχλησε καθόλου. Σίγουρα μοιάζει να είναι σύστημα καλύτερων επιδόσεων τo Y-AMT

Honestly the first 10 minutes were kinda pointless and boring. Nice driving after though. Bike looks and sounds good. While I would prefer the manual I wouldn't mind taking this bike for a spin.
