  • Check out our latest video about the Litter-Robot 3 Open Air - this one addresses the weight sensor timer. Many people have written in over the years wondering how the LR3 knows how to cycle. The answer is the weight sensor - it senses a cat 5 lbs. or more and then waits 7 minutes before it begins the cleaning cycle. The default wait time is 7 minutes. However, you can change the wait time to 3, 7, or 15 minutes, so the red light will be on for as long as you have the wait time set. If you have the Connect model, you can check the setting in the app. If you do not have Connect, you can check on the control panel - this video will show you how: • Litter-Robot How-To: A...

    I originally bought a LR3 connect but I could never get it to connect. I thought it was maybe because I have an Android phone but when I bought the LR4, I gave the LR3 to my sister, who has an iPhone, but she cant get it to connect, either. Doesn't really matter since it still works fine not connected.
    The LR4 connected to the internet with no issue.

    Sometimes mine won’t cycle unless you jiggle the bottom drawer. Any idea what could cause that?

    • @Floppycats

      I’d guess the drawer full sensor thinks it’s full, so nowhere to drop the extra waste

    How do you see how much your cat weighs in the app

    • @Floppycats
      @Floppycats  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don’t think you do 🤷‍♀️. It’s just a sensor that senses weight. It’s not a scale per se. I could be wrong though.

      perrslice thank you! Please let me know how it goes! Number one thing is DO NOT let it cycle/run around your cats UNTIL they’re using it regularly. That’s the biggest mistake people make. Litter Robot says that in their introduction instructions which are very thorough.

    I installed the WiFi conversion kit a couple of weeks ago and it wasn't hard at all. I've had the kit for awhile, but wanted to wait until I washed the unit and do everything at once. Basically all you need is a Phillips head screwdriver. Litter Robot's video was excellent in showing how it's done.

    Does this litter robot ever scare any kitties?? I would think you would have to still keep a regular liter box just in case you have a kitty that is scared of this litter robot. Does the cycle start 15 minutes after kitty exits the liter robot or does the timer start when they enter the liter robot?

    • @Floppycats
      @Floppycats  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it can scare kitties - litter-robot sends specific "how to introduce cats to the litter robot" instructions. so if you follow those, it usually works out fine. it starts after they leave the Litter-Robot.

    • @lynellethompson5521

      @@Floppycats thank you!! It is good the timer starts after they leave the litter robot, then there is no chance of it starting to run while a kitty is still inside of it.
