The wonderful thing about watercolors is, it is much more forgiving than people think it is. If you make something too dark, if you wet it with clean water, let it sit a few moments, then use a clean sponge or cloth carefully, or even just a freshly wiped off brush for delicate areas to dab at the wet paint so it wicks back into the brush, you can often times lift the color up off the paper. The results can depend upon the type of paper you use, but you are using a high quality paper so it should let you do this easily with little staining or destruction to the paper itself. Just gentile dabbing, if you rub too much you could ruff up the paper and cause pilling or damage that will absorb the paint more. I'll use this technique often when I want to bring back highlights or correct bleeding. Love your art blog series, please keep it up! You are giving inspiration back into this old artist
Calming n soothing video...esp i like small details like setting table for coloring.... arranging brushes ....these things give small sense of accomplishment......keep growing n keep enjoying life....❤😊
Thank you so much for watching my videos! I'm sorry you're going through hard times right now. I hope everything is ok and that things will get better soon!! 🤗
It's truly amazing what you can do. I love it. I love drinking tea. So maybe one day I'll find a tea house in America and visit. I like that clay tea pot you have with strainer. 🤩🤗☺️
You did an awesome drawing, you made me think of drawing...I haven't done it since college, even though I still have my drawing supplies. Today, if I did, my lines would be all crooked, 😀😄. Great job. Thank you.
Thank you very much for watching! If you have all the supplies already, go for it! 😊 I stopped drawing since high school and I just started again this year!
Amazing to think buildings can be that old! The painting turned out beautifully and I think the dark brown makes the building show up more so I liked the darker colour. I also like the Micron Fineliners.
Thank you so much! 😊 When I was drawing this, it was raining outside the whole day! but something about the sound of rain while painting is very smoothing!
What a lovely drawing Kiko. Very interesting to hear about the oldest tea shop and see the photos and your finished result. Like you, I do various arts and crafts and having had a busy sewing time I doing some art journalling.I love to swap and change as my desire to create does. I really enjoyed your drawing and painting process. Thank you. Take care until we next meeting in your next video Kiko. With the very best of wishes. :)
Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to leave a comment! 😊 It's nice to switch it up sometimes when you have different hobbies and interests! Have a wonderful week! ❤️
You are making such a comforting content. I'd love to know more about you,if you mind sharing, of course. Have you studied something related to arts? Do you have a 9-5 job? Any pets? But, again, only if you want to tell. Keep on with the good work. Lots of love from Greece🥰😍
Thank you very much for watching! I'm a floral designer and have studied ikebana for over 14 years. Besides that, I've only learned art and sewing throughout high school. 😅 I wish I learned pottery and photography in school. I don't have any pets right now but I really want to adopt a cat! Hopefully that dream can come true soon! 🐈
Love how the piece turned out! A little tip for the future- if you think the ground is too dark, try going over the area with clean water and lifting some of the paint with a paper towel! It’s one of the nice qualities of watercolor. It lifts. That should lighten it, regardless though, loved the video and the end result! Well done 😊
