I love Alice’s quick veto on taking on more chores. I feel the same way about Project Dress a Girl. It fills my heart. Alice is correct on New Orleans. ❤❤❤❤
I watched this video a couple of days ago, but something came up and I wasn’t able to comment at the time. First I want to say that I enjoyed learning more about you and your family. I loved learning about how you came to love living in Ireland. I especially enjoyed seeing your wedding photos. And it was so lovely to see Alice again. I also loved how you said ideas came to you at various times about how to mix your scraps and make your fabrics work together. This morning, as I was getting dressed, a solution to a sewing problem came to me, and I immediately thought of your comments about how ideas came to you. All I had to do was put my idea on a back burner and let my subconscious mind figure it out while I was doing mundane tasks. My idea today was a solution to a design problem for a car organizer, not about purposely using up fabric scraps, but I do have most of the materials for the project on hand and it will end up using scraps. I just wanted you to know that your comment really resonated with me, and I feel like I have a great way to move forward. I do think it will help if I frequently peruse my fabrics scraps keeping them fresh in my mind, but other than that, I probably just need to give my subconscious mind a little space so it can find the best solution for creating things and maximizing my fabric resources at the same time. Thank you so much for helping me get back on the right track with my sewing scraps!!!
Thank you for watching and for your lovely comment. I am so glad you found the solution to your problem. I am planning to do a car organiser too - for a back seat for Alice when we go on trips - her stuff ends up all over the car 🙈 If you will be posting your car organiser on Instagram, please tag me, I would love to see what you created. Have a wonderful sewing week. Ps. I am using a lot of scraps/remnants this week for making dresses for project dress a girl
Hi Agata, catching up on videos for last little while. I sew by colour too! Lovely to hear what’s in the grey boxes, I always assumed it was fabric stash.

Alice is as happy about chores as Kris 🙈😂
It was really lovely seeing you & Alice together! Her preference for mommy-made clothes is so sweet. I enjoyed your Q&A, Agata. 😘
Thank you so much! We had fun recording this video
