Hey - This was a nice surprise. Thank you so much for making this! Development has been progressing pretty quickly lately and there's only 2 fighters remaining to have their specials and projectiles complete before I'll be putting out a limited release beta ISO for testing. If you are interested let me know.

I kind of had a feeling when I saw your vid that you were going to discuss this project. I've been following all the development of this project for a bit and it's shaping up to be the most arcade accurate version of this game on a console. Mk2 is still my favorite, mostly because I have great memories of playing this in a local pizza joint, but it's nice to see someone giving this game the port it always deserved. There's also a really great HB port of MK1 coming to the Juguar that's looking arcade accurate.

3DO was a system that kinda didn't know what it wanted to be, and I knew 3rd party support was not there. But they where also the only system for a time that had a good port of Super Street Fighter II Turbo. Cool system that was just too early in a crowded field of better competitors.

thanks for the informative video. I actually own MK II for Playstation ( only released in Japan). That is a very rare copy. I knew about the 3-D-O port. However, was never too interested in purchasing it. I knew about it because on my hyperspin game system, they have it listed on there to play. I still love collecting video games. However, one thing that is very disappointing... there are so many different versions of MK II released on practically every game system you can think of. On the contrary, nothing beats the arcade version of MKII! I wish they would have released an arcade version of MK II for PS1/Saturn ( because the versions for them systems suck!). The only time MK II arcade port got released was on PS2!!! It was on the "Midway Arcade Treasures 2" for PS2 and on the MK Armageddon ( Special edition version) they put MK II arcade version on there as a bonus/secret. One thing that I would have found super interesting. ( at the time in 1993 when MK II was first released) was if they kept making different versions of MK II like adding more characters, different bosses, more background levels. Kind of similar to what Street fighter did when they kept releasing different versions of SF II. MK 3 sucks..... MK Trilogy was pretty good.

Rented need for speed and a 3do from blockbuster to play at home. That blew my mind. Back in the day .1st game system that had arcade graphics In that time period. We only had snes genesis. . No PS1 . There was Philips CDI. But that sucked. And neo geo. The arcade was $0.25 . All the best games were in DOS .this is when cd\games was must have

Mortal Kombat II on 3DO is nice but I want to play the unreleased 3DO port of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. Heard that that version would had been better than the Super NES and Sega Genesis versions by having all the characters and stages from the arcade.

I've never seen or play with the 3do in person. Only seen it on GamePro magazines. I only played Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo. By that time.
