Hi Hilton. When you're in manual mode, you can switch back to automatic mode (D), just by pressing right padle for 2 seconds. You don't need to put it to Neutral and then Drive again...
Hilton in fact going back from neutral to drive while the rear wheels are turning is extremely bad for the automatic gearbox, there’s some other vids about it. Better to go to sport and then back instead.

Bad advice for getting the car back into full auto mode from manual shift. You should never free wheel a car in neutral whilst it's moving - that's bad. What you do is pull back on the right hand (upshift) paddle and hold it back for two to three seconds - that puts the car back into fully automatic.

Yep, been down that road so many times due to our bad roads. This is why I sold my XFR. Jaguar OEM wheels are just soft by nature and buckle easily. I'll never get a Jag again with 20" wheels. 17" would be what I'd go for to ensure no more buckled wheels and wobbly drives.
Hey there. Sounds to me like you may have one or more defective tps. The sensor is located on the valve itself and the batteries are set to last 10 years or so. Hey there. Sounds like the car was in "manual" mode. To get it out of that mode just pull both paddles on the steering wheel towards yourself and it goes back to automatic mode. To get it in sport mode, you must turn the dial to D and the lift the dial while turning it to S for sport mode. Hope this helps.
That's due to an electronic idle stabilizer which keeps the RPM high due to the engine being cold. It's similar to a choke on a carburetor car. When the coolant starts to warm up, the idle stabilizer reduces the RPM to a normal range, usually 800 RPM. But it will typically idle at 1100 RPM when cold.
If it's a diesel, it may be starting a DPF regen. They get noticeably deeper in tone as they deliberately overfuel the engine slightly to get the exhaust hot. Nothing to worry about, but to stop it doing it you can give it a cruise on the motorway for half an hour and it should clear the DPF up nicely. If it's petrol, I've no idea :)
If you've recently done the brakes. Take the car over 40kph and then stop. This allows the abs to set itself. Stop the car, apply full pressure to the foot brake and then with your foot brake still depressed, set the parking brake. This will reset it.
I didn't have that problem. The only way to fix that really is to remove the top portion of the dash and have a auto trimmer glue it down and insert staples where it meets the windshield - Jaguar did it to later models so the dash wouldn't lift.
Hey Howard, I had people admonish me for this but frankly its my car and I choose to have the R badge on it because it just looks cool with the black grill. People get out of my way on the freeway and somehow they show more "respect" on the road. It's amazing how courteous people become and allow you the right of way just because you're driving a mean-looking Jag.
@Brian Botterill I know I get it. I got some complaints back then. I was still learning how to edit videos and using basic software to edit, but it didn't leave much room for creating good videos. As time went on, I got better at it.

How to change my dashboard speaker grill cover
I did a video on that when no had my XFR in 2020. I had a rattle coming from the speaker. It just pops out if you use a trim tool. No screws.
I have a question about the exhaust note: Why does it change a minute or so after starting the car and leaving it ticking over? (3.0V6)
Hey Hilton do you have some way I can contact you I was needing help fixing in my Jaguar XF 2009 thanks!
Hey Fabian, send me a contact via my website www.hiltoncamons.com and I'll email you back.
Another awesome video 😃👍
Hi Hilton, is it true that the gear lever does ja and refuses to pop up?
Bagcine Ciliza I've only heard of it twice but never happened to me.
My 2008 xf comes up cant apply hand brake any ideas
If you've recently done the brakes. Take the car over 40kph and then stop. This allows the abs to set itself. Stop the car, apply full pressure to the foot brake and then with your foot brake still depressed, set the parking brake. This will reset it.
Another question how did you fix your dash when it was coming up ?
I didn't have that problem. The only way to fix that really is to remove the top portion of the dash and have a auto trimmer glue it down and insert staples where it meets the windshield - Jaguar did it to later models so the dash wouldn't lift.
Is that really an xfr? because I see the "R" badge but I don't see quad tip exhausts.
Shephard M Mapungwana It's not an XFR, I put the badge on to scare people in front of me 😂
Nice!.
I will just get a Lincoln and enjoy the car.
how come you put the R badge but its not an R model?
What makes you say its not a XF R ?
Hey Howard, I had people admonish me for this but frankly its my car and I choose to have the R badge on it because it just looks cool with the black grill. People get out of my way on the freeway and somehow they show more "respect" on the road. It's amazing how courteous people become and allow you the right of way just because you're driving a mean-looking Jag.
why do you have "r" badging on the car when it isn't an R trim or the performance variant
Because I can :-D
I just posted my Jaguar-XF check it out and the rims omg
you will lost that bet
🤣😁🤣🤪
Comantry spoilt by the infuriating music !
I can't cater to everyone's music tastes.
@@carfanfan hello, no insult intended, I ment the music was drowning your words and I couldn't hear well. (I'm 78).
@Brian Botterill I know I get it. I got some complaints back then. I was still learning how to edit videos and using basic software to edit, but it didn't leave much room for creating good videos. As time went on, I got better at it.
