You're the man, love the videos, but I was a little bit disappointed with this one bro. None of these three tips was related to mixing Boom Bap drums. Maybe the bit reduction if you do it in parallel. I sample from vinyl and I'm always looking for some good tips on sampling kicks, snares, etc. and turning them into something new using eq, comp, limiting, saturation, distortion, etc. Tag me when you get a video on that up! Peace! Ps I can supply some starter drums if you need them ✌️

With all that great velocity-layered VST drumkits out there, have you considered using those, selecting a great acoustic kick drum and get both the ghost and the regular, hard hitting kick out from it by processing those? I am aiming towards a sound that does the boom bap vibe, but everything is played by musicians.

what’s a good processing chain to have for my drums? I’ve got decent plug ins I just don’t know how to use half of them. It would be cool if you could show the different hi hats variations you can use for hip hop and processing tips! Thanks for another great video
