I grew up with 9th. We were best friends. Still homies o this day. Shout out to 9th! On Rapsody's THANK HER NOW album, my daughter was the little girl she was talking about. She actually shouted my daughter out three times on that album😌. But yeah, 9th is a great and humble dude. My homie for life. Shout out to JAMLA and the SOUL COUNCIL!!! TRE 4 STAND UP! 🔥💪🏿🔥
I ain’t ever heard nobody name drop skyzoo besides me, my man
What? Skyzoo with 9th was dope, skyzoo and Torae album was dope. Skys rapping is just unorthodox. You have to really listen to catch it.
9th was one of the first people using FL Studio. he made this in ‘03. It was one of the black album rejects. 😌. I love 9th and he is one of the only producers that show how they made/make their beats. He loves sharing his knowledge which is so admirable. 💪🏾
And as soon as he got some bread he got the fuck off FL with a quickness 😂😂😂
His rhythm roulette is dope.
@@Craftmaster3He tried the MPc 2500 and then Maschine. In all fairness, Maschine wasn’t an option back then 🤷🏾♂️
@@Nev4thereYep. He was being very reserved on there.
Totally agree, the guy gives you his ''secrets'' that more secrets are ''ways to go the right way or look for inspiration'', since he doesn't give you his mixing and mastering secrets that are also a fundamental part of the whole process, anyway it is a very valuable information when you have been making beats for many years, watching him chopping and his way of acting, he can guide you very well.
all this makes me wonder why 9th wonder stopped using the mpc 2500 and started using a maschine with usb ?
was it because he was sponsored by the company or because he found a much faster and more reliable digital working method...? and that's where his mixing secrets play a key role....
Dollar Circulate is def one of my favorite 9th beats.
Absolutely!! 🔥🔥🔥
Mine too...man I listend to that Beat so often back in the days, but I (almost) forgot it. I will listen to it 100 times in the next hour :D
his flip is laughably bad compared to dillas
I learned not to be scared of sampling sections with words in them, and go with the feeling that you want.
And on top of everything, you don't need the fancy equipment, I only use Audacity.
True!! Having that mindset will always set you apart from others in a good way. 💯💯💯
Dillas flip is amazing as well... great vid Fuego
Now Heat FL Studio has stem seperation so its finna be even easier to chop and manipulate samples
That's funny man, dollar circulate is my fav 9th wonder beat too.
This is going to be good
Yeah that Dollars Circulate blew my mind when I heard it. The Righteous Way To Go by EA Floe too -- I never tried remaking either but the chops are just... genius. S/O to 9th and the entire Soul Council. #NCHipHop
He chopped all of it in FL too. 💪🏾
I am so thankful and happy that I stumbled on your channel. Thank you sir
I’m even more happy to have you here my friend!! 💯💯 Enjoy 🙏🏽
One of my favourite 9th cuts is Lounge and Bring it Back on (Spectac and 9th Wonder) album.
9th Wonder produced one of my favorite songs, a Jay-Z song called "Threat" off the Black album.....friggin fire
Def top tier 9th joint!! 💯💯
Ok, but show me how he did that part with the "If you don't don't don't do this it's late let the dollar dollar dollar dollar dollar dollar dollar circulate." That chop is one of the best of all time in my opinion.
🇿🇦I think that I'll make a mixtape dedicated to 9th Wonder and rap over it. Definitely this beat will be included 👍🏾💯🔥🔥🔥🔥
Sweetest Language was one of my favorite beats.
I use to study 9th heavy for years. Well broken down and the best 9th beat recreation
this one def sounds like a 9th wonder influenced beat
Word up!! 💯💯
I am from NC. Straight legend here!
most def!! shouts to NC
Dope beat❤actually enjoyed the tutorial. Can I know what's the name of the beats that's playing on the background before the video ends
Great video 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Boloooo!! Thanks fam. Appreciate you OG. 💯💯 thanks for tapping in. 🙏🏽
9th Wonder the Marchant of Dreams
Hell yeah!!! 💯💯💯
yo music got boom bappin now
My fave 9th Wonder beats are the ones he made for Cesar Comanche back in the day.
Great content.
Thanks fam!! 💯💯💯
Kano used this sample for his fire in the booth and I couldn't find it for years and then I randomly heard it watching Narcos 😂 I never heard 9ths version but its 🔥
thats crazy!! dope, thanks for tuning in fam 💯
favorite 9th wonder beat, raekwon - no pretending
He is my goat
1st thing to sound like (early) 9th…..Use the same snare on 99.99% of your tracks 😂
Awesome remake brother!!!
This was one of the first 9th tracks that caught my ear 😎
I'm not going to hold you, I love Dilla's take of this sample compared to 9th's. Although both killed it 🔥
def 2 dope flips!! 💯💯
dope content
thank you my friend!!
How do you study producers? Do you have a unique way or anything like that?
Early on I would remake my favorite beats. Even if I didn’t have the exact sounds they had, i used that as a chance to understand the process and things were put together. That’s the best way that worked for me. 💯💯
Video starts at 2.51.
i wish i had this vid years ago
When I duplicate and use the bass in the sample as the bassline, the mud is crazy! How are u cleaning it up?
Sometimes it won’t always be perfect. But cutting the lows from the main, then cutting the highs from the duplicate will give them the balance from the start. Then multiband compression will help sometimes as well after doing reductive EQ
I didn't even know 9th Wonder did this sample rip stack bundles
I didnt know stack rapped on it. thats dope, and a cool fun fact.
stack rappin over J. dilla version
Hey if you don't mind me asking, I want your desk, where do I find it?
I built this desk myself. I will have to post the dimensions somewhere for folks to build it themselves.
@@theycallmeheat ok thanks
9th is super dope. Soulful! Have you seen his Above the Clouds episode on TH-cam? All the beats he is playing are dope but there are 2 that he plays on there and im like...whoa!!! Check it out.
this is the first beat i heard by 9th
Nice!! Mine was something from either Murs or Skyzoo 🤔
@@theycallmeheat cloud 9 was wild
Having a hard time mapping my fl keys mini pads to serato sample 2.0🤦🏾
There should be an app that allows you to change or set your midi notes to serato. I haven’t used that controller so i’m not much help. Lol
With these kind of samples just blaze kills them so bad
I don’t know if bad means good. But he def knows how to chop some samples up like no other!! 💯💯💯
@@theycallmeheat Thats for sure
I made my first real song to Dollar Circulate.
Doppeee!!! 🔥🔥🔥
9 wonder looks like your brother from the same mother
hahahahah!!! would be dope. lol
What does It mean to study a producer's beats ?
learning how to create like them will help build your own style. So when you take the styl eo f9th wonder, and then you learn DJ Premieres process, then you learn Dilla's process, etc. Once you've got those down over time you will develop your own style and know more about how the greats create, which in turn helps you create better. hope this helps fam!!
@@theycallmeheat of course it helped 💯🔥 Thanks 🙏
Dilla did it first tho
For sure!! I didn’t hear dillas version until after I heard 9ths. Thats crazy!!
9th wonder is a mid tier producer who was heavily criticized in the beatmaker world for having shitty drums, and recycling those shitty drums on multiple beats, theres a reason why he never really blew up like alc or madlib.
Huuuhhhhh!!!??? “Blew up” is subjective. He worked with some TOP tier artists and built his own label that is managed by Roc Nation.
