Sounds a lot like a 5150, but with less gain. I think I like the tone of the newer Joyo Rigel pedal more, but Chopper-Z has a gate, boost and the pre/power-amp/cab sim modes. Might just have to get both!
With the Rigel Preamp, you mention that you think it's a clone of the KSR Ceres. This Chopper Z is certainly a clone of the Apex Preamp from (MXR's Mansoor division...lol) Horizon Devices.

So If You had to choose this Z , Rigel, or Dark flame? I own the Uzi and replaced three pedals off My board 8 times the price!
Rigel and Dark flame are better. UZI is very very good as well
These other company’s better buy joyo and shut it down lol. I bought the screamer and it’s a very good pedal.
