Murdock was my favourite. He was funny, kind and just a good dude. All that and he could fly a plane. The best in the show, imo.

A perfect cast. Same with original Magnum, PI, The Rockford Files, Perry Mason, Martin, Living Single, A Different World, Married... with Children, Leverage, Burn Notice etc. where EVERYBODY made the show good. That's incredibly rare.
The 80s.. what a decade. Thr best tv ever. Much better than studf today. The characters were rich and funny and had presence unlike today's programming which feels very stale, manufactured, and not as natural. Dallas, Knight Rider, Dallas, Dynasty, Robin of Sherwood, Street Hawk, Battle of the Planets, He-Man, Airwolf, Miami Vice, Hill Street Blues, St Elsewhere, etc...

That was totally charming how Murdock winked at B.A. with a heartfelt "Thanks, B.A." and B.A. in rare form smiling back with "Just keep it out of the trees." B.A. had the biggest heart behind always wanting to strangle Murdock.
Hannibal: "Murdock, how did you talk me into this?"
Murdock: "I don't know I have intermittent memory loss. "

Really? It strikes me as a "greatest hits" episode, where they have a weak script and "remember" past times by re-running previous footage. McGyver did this about once per season, usually around episode 20 when they were nearly out of gas. Who would choose to do this if they had a fantastic script?

Murdock was hilarious. As a kid I didn’t really understand his humor I was just in it for the action. As an adult this show has me cracking up non stop.
3:36 to 4:29 is one of my all-time favorite scenes - a perfect example of the brilliant dialogue this show had. And Murdock was my favorite one in the team - I grew up loving this show, and always wanted to do voices and be funny like Murdock. He was like 10 different people in that show!
Every time I see Lt. Barclay in TNG... I can't stop to think of Murdock.
In some of the episodes of TNG and later Voyager, you can see some of the Murdock personas coming out.
Murdock isn't crazy, he's confident and wise.

2:24 Murdock pretty much sounds like Vulture from 2018 Marvel's Spider-Man game and Dr Animo from Ben 10. Considering his actor Dwight Schultz voiced those characters too.
The 2018 Spider-Man game wasn't the first time he voiced the Vulture, he also voiced him in the Spider-Man tie-in video game to the first Sam Raimi film.
He was not Underrated. Underrated is not a Compliment!

Bad casting if John Singleton did direct the (2010) movie adaptation, but, I think Jim Carrey would've been hilarious as Murdock.
