    Northfield is the only one listed that could be considered outside the Twin Cities Metro (and not by much). There's a LOT more to Minnesota than Minneapolis/St. Paul. I grew up on the iron range, and would take that over the cities in a heartbeat.

      All my relatives lived in Buhl Mn dating back to the late eighteen hundreds. My mother used to talk about Buhl all the time. My great-grandfather was in charge of the Buhl iron ore mine. Ever heard of Richard Anderson, he is my cousin, Richard played the part of McGiver on the TV series back in the 1970s. My uncle was chief of police in Buhl back in the early 1900s. I have been to the Iron Range twice, I stayed at my aunt and uncle's cottage on Lake Fourteen and I loved it. In 1996 I spent a week in Ely on a fishing trip. I caught a twenty-pound Northern Pike that I have mounted on my wall here in Northern California!! Why is Minnesota turning into another mess like California? I have always planned on retiring in MN but changed my mind. Why move to a far-left blue state after living in the bluest state in the country???

      Northfield is St Olaf and Carlton colleges, very very expensive houses and snooty professors for neighbors, your robot was wrong

      Dude, outside of the Twin Cities is RED. We paid no attention to masks and lockdowns. Not even the cops. Come to western Minnesota. We think of ourselves as East Dakota.

      Northfield id snooty, if you aren't a professor at Carlton or St Olaf. or have been there for 20 years

    Only the twin cities? If the curies are so great....why do 100000 of their refugees spend summer weekends ii in Brainerd or Duluth each? What about Rochester....what about Owatonna?

      And Detroit Lakes. ALL of these Twin Cities rich people come here to vacation. Many own lake homes.

    Mostly affluent enclaves in suburban Twin Cities, with only a couple exceptions, and we have 5-month winters here, which rarely appears in the video footage.

    So your saying living close to the twin cities is the best? I disagree. There's a lot more towns/cities in Minnesota than the suburbs. We may live among the rocks and cows but I'd take them over living close the septic dump they call the Twin Cities.

    I'm so glad that you didn't say Stillwater, my hometown. There's nothing here, so don't move here. When Minnesota shut down, we could look across The St. Croix Nation Scenic Riverway, and see Wisconsin. Wisconsin stayed open. There's no history here either, so don't move here. There are no more old homes left to purchase...

    • @mileswinslow7553
      @mileswinslow7553 ปีที่แล้ว

      @johnryman1366 There hasn't been a prison in Stillwater since 1914. The closest ones would be in Bayport and Oak Park Heights. The famed Younger Brothers, of the Jesse James ilk did spend time in what we call The Old Old Prison. It burned 🔥 down in 2002, and that land is covered in high end condominiums. It was built in Battle Hallow, the sight of a battle between the Chippewa and Dakota in 1839. Some say it's haunted land. 👻

    I can’t believe Brewster isn’t on this list. Tucked in sw mn along hiway 60 it is wonderful. The odors from the hog slaughtering plant, the sewage treatment facility and the dead animal rendering plant pretty much lose their pungence by the time they waft over Brewster. Nice little downtown bar and gas station round out their attraction. Go there for a weekend of fun and relaxation!

    I live in mn. I WOULD NOT retire here. Lake minnetonka is not what it use to be. It use to be alot cleaner. The richer neighborhoods around the lake pollute the lake by the fertilizers they put in their lawn and when it rains it washes into the lakes. Discusting. ALL THE PLACES you mentioned are WAY , WAY , to exspensive.
