In this video, I walk throughout the city square of Helen, GA and hit nearly every corner. Some use this video for inspiration to visit this beautiful city square, others for ASMR purposes. Like most things in life, it's better in person!

Helen is a city in White County, Georgia, United States, located along the Chattahoochee River. The population was 510 at the 2010 census.
Helen was platted in 1912, and named after the daughter of a lumber official. The town was incorporated in 1913.
Formerly a logging town that was in decline, the city resurrected itself by becoming a replica of a Bavarian alpine town, in the Appalachians instead of the Alps. This design is mandated through zoning first adopted in 1969, so that the classic south-German style is present on every building, even on the small number of national franchisees present (such as Huddle House and Wendy's).
In 1975, DOCUMERICA photographer Al Stephenson documented the life, recreation, and economy of the Helen area before and during the construction of Alpine Helen.

22:58 Thanks for this video! We were in Gainesville to see our daughter and decided to visit Helen. Little did we know it was October fest! It was so crowded it was almost impossible to take in the town itself. Your walking tour was just what I needed.

It would be neat if they compounded on the tourist attraction by adding german dances in the street. I mean it looks a bit boring. I haven't ever been to Germany, but it has to be more than just buildings. Maybe a museum about germany or clogs or something from old time germany.

You should probably visit Germany before making comparisons like that. No one dances in the street. It's very much just buildings, history, beer halls, and restaurants. Not everything needs to have entertainment to that degree.
