Due to having surgery on both of my hands over the past couple years, I have been away from my shop for a while and haven’t done any carving. Your video popped up on my feed today and I just want to say how much I appreciate the extra little tips that you gave during this video. (your face is new to me. I always saw Eric before 😊) Thanks again and I look forward to when I can get back into carving again.
Great video Ryan, and i appreciate the way you inform us step by step on what and why you do something. I hope to be good at this one day...I'm practicing lol... You make it look easy.
That is such a cute sign for turkey day and it will be here soon! I was worried about that knot on the top edge popping out when you said you were doing a scalloped edge but it held together fine or you worked around it very well. The wood is beautiful and great instructions as you were carving......thanks!
Sure, you can definitely do that. Our spiral upcut bits are what you'd use for a flat bottom. We just don't care for that look as much as a textured background, but some people really like it
You have become a "natural" at this work. It has been a pleasure to watch you progress into the business.
Right on, Gary! I really appreciate that man👍👍
Nice sign. I hope everyone is keeping safe and well.
Thanks Mark! Same to you, buddy.

Very fun sign! Need to put those lights on the side of my router. Cedar is my favorite to finish, best pop out there!
The lights definitely help, but i hardly ever use them. I don't know why HAHA

Thanks Keith! I believe it was 6"X24"
If you already have flat botton mill bits is there any reason you couldnt use them for removing the bulk after doing the fine work?
Sure, you can definitely do that. Our spiral upcut bits are what you'd use for a flat bottom. We just don't care for that look as much as a textured background, but some people really like it
When you paint those letters , can you reuse them again, ????
Absolutely, you can use them indefinitely. I have some I've used for 30+ years.
When you say “spray clear coat “ what do you use, polyurethane or something else?
We generally use the Rust-Oleum clear. It's pretty cheap and works great!
what kind of brush is that?
Just a stiff bristle brush. Any kind will work
Do you have a video out on making a sign with your USA American flag??
