Nagaland: 35 injured after bus crashes into taxi near Kohima; 3 critical

- At least 35 people were injured when a bus ferrying passengers collided with a taxi parked on the side of the road at Nphiecha colony in Kohima village on Saturday.
The bus driver lost control of the vehicle, which landed on paddy fields some 70 feet below the highway.
All 32 passengers in the bus and three passengers in the taxi have sustained injuries. Two passengers of the bus and one from the taxi were admitted into the Intensive Care Unit.
While the bus, which had headed out from Dimapur, was heading to Satakha in the Zunheboto district, the taxi, a Maruti Alto, was heading to Ruzhaho in Phek.
Many passengers confirmed that they were on their way to their native villages to cast their votes on February 27.
All the victims were transferred to various hospitals in Kohima by locals and commercial vehicles plying along the stretch of road.
The bus driver was suspected to be absconding after the incident. However, the police did not verify the same.

In most cases the state govt & DTO is responsible for such accidents , I assume that the bus is almost 15years old and not suitable to be used for transportation.
We can't always blame the government. The transport authorities may likely be receiving alot of money to buy a new vehicle but as we all know poisa chor poisa khakuwa happening. We naga people are poisa laga KUTTA!!

Omg this people what's the big deal with the date, actually the accident happened today which is 25th Feb 2023 but the pessanger's who sustain injury were traveling to there respective village to cast their vote for Nagaland state general election on 27th Feb 2023 i.e Monday.

Why so careless driver
Being a reputed news channel,authentication is most important.it was not a collision,to be precise,it was rash driving,the taxi wash hit by the bus which subsequently fell down the road.
