This week we decided to surprise our parents with our new house. It's been a while since we've moved and we want to show our parent's just how far we've come. It's been almost 5 years since we've quit our 9-5 jobs and we want to show them that we can make a living off of youtube, but more importantly we want to make them proud.

This made me tear up 🥲 very heartwarming! I am also Chinese and i can relate to Edward’s appreciation for his mum. Asian parents have strict parenting but now that I am an adult, I am thankful for the way they raised me.
As a fellow-Canto speaker this video was really heartwarming and so touching. I've been following you guys for years and saw the blood, sweat, and tears you put into making your videos, I saw the progress in your videos but also knew how hard it would be to tell your parents you've quit your corporate jobs to take a chance on a dream. Asian parents aren't necessarily dreamers so everything in this video really hit close to home. But the fact that you guys were able to buy a beautiful home is truly one of the first steps in an Asian parents' eyes that you've "made it". I also laughed at the part where Edward said "proud" in English at 11:09 - if you're an ABC or CBC growing up in a Chinese-speaking household you know we don't learn these kinds of words or ever hear them!! lol
Been following you guys for 4 years now and I'm so amazed that you could go this far and successfully prove that persistence is the main key to achieve your dreams! Btw I'm quite curious, will you live together again like you used to or make this house as a basecamp instead?
