As a fellow-Canto speaker this video was really heartwarming and so touching. I've been following you guys for years and saw the blood, sweat, and tears you put into making your videos, I saw the progress in your videos but also knew how hard it would be to tell your parents you've quit your corporate jobs to take a chance on a dream. Asian parents aren't necessarily dreamers so everything in this video really hit close to home. But the fact that you guys were able to buy a beautiful home is truly one of the first steps in an Asian parents' eyes that you've "made it". I also laughed at the part where Edward said "proud" in English at 11:09 - if you're an ABC or CBC growing up in a Chinese-speaking household you know we don't learn these kinds of words or ever hear them!! lol
This made me tear up 🥲 very heartwarming! I am also Chinese and i can relate to Edward’s appreciation for his mum. Asian parents have strict parenting but now that I am an adult, I am thankful for the way they raised me.
