If ur not in the medical\ police\ or Texas Tech fields there nothing else there but construction and Restaurant and sales that's all u get left in Lubbock. Oh I hope u like eating dirt bc the wind blows for months at a time with bad red dirt storms. I have lots of family still there they tell me weekly how they have such a murder rate its out of control. My mother told me again last week she ashamed of what Lubbock has become. She's lived in Lubbock 67 yrs now and she's 74. Please don't blow smoke and tell people its a great place to live. My town in North Texas is a great place to live and its Quiet. If it's still there, the large CoOp cottonseed mill is the only source of noxious vapors in Lubbock. Lubbock's industry is mostly in agriculture related areas.
Yes but not as common as the Oklahoma Texas border area, Wichita Falls is famous for tornadoes. I can remember a fair share of blizzards in a Lubbock and Amarillo.
