Lubbock definitely needs to get the crime under control-and the litter. I recently moved back after 30 years and there is litter/trash all over the roads, and it's not all from the wind blowing. It wasn't this trashy in the early 90's...I love this town I just wish the City Council would open their eyes.

I’m originally from Lubbock, born and raised, but have been living in Dallas for the last 7 years. I have been considering moving back though. The only downside for me is the climate. Aside from that, it really is a great place to live.

The people were very relaxed. That's important.
The city should invest is an ultramodern irrigation project and park area, green belt. Looks like a great place to live.
Have not seen a poor video yet.

Lubbock does have some large linear creekside parks with trails on the east side of the city but it is lacking overall in outdoor recreation. Even Amarillo has significantly more public land (and some privately owned preserves that are open to the public) nearby while Lubbock has very little. Southeastern New Mexico has a lot of public federal B.L.M. land however (still mostly flat or gently rolling and arid) and is accessible for a long day or weekend trip.

I lived in Lubbock for 30 years and moved away 5 years ago. I am from the Metroplex originally. Things I hated: 1. Dust storms and wind. 2. Little League sports, people were horrific and self serving, they ruined Western Little League, a lot of ass kissing and sucking up for parents. 3. Restaurants, I eventually had 4 I went to regularly. 4. Homes were designed poorly, it was like the builders get together and say "let's build with no storage space".

Yeah…what I got from this was not that welcoming at all. What I got from this video was “if you want conservative white good ol boy town cultures & values, move to Lubbock”. If you want “diversity & open minded people who embrace change and want a variety of outdoor activities then stay away”.
If you wanna attract a wider audience of people to Lubbock then you gotta interview a lot more people than just a few white folk at the “Range”. Isn’t Texas Tech there? Interview some Students or University Faculty or talk to some folk at the Mall. Just get diverse perspectives around Lubbock from people who don’t look and vote like you. If not well…that explains a lot 😂

🤔 so basically what I’m taking from this video (and a lot of videos you make) is that Lubbock is a very close minded somewhat bigoted city who has a problem with people who don’t want to do things the” lubbock Way”.. so I assume you probably wouldn’t want people from Houston or Austin much less LA, St. Louis or Chicago moving to Lubbock?

@@LubbockLiving thats the thing.. we live in lubbock and are not Uber conservatives and live like we did in St. Louis.. we use the bus system (which is incredibly good) to get around, have plenty of extremely open minded friends in our apartment complex and actually like the wind😜.. do wish we had more heavy metal concerts however and wish we had tai chi and casinos..

@@LubbockLivingI bet those “LA” clients were from a conservative white part of SoCal like Orange County or San Bernardino but just claimed LA. There’s no way someone from LA would move to Lubbock who has an open mind. Maybe Austin…but Lubbock? Nah.

Damn even Lubbock is sounding nicer than suburban Houston.
Pearland has subzero sense of community or knowing their neighbors. Every man for himself down here.
Everything is super spread out so a trip to the grocery store can keep you in traffic for an hour.

it's friendly tbh, they have districts for everyone all backgrounds. Lots more LGBTQ representation than you might think as well as a deep respect and celebration for the arts (first friday of every month the Arts district closes all roads in it's area for an open public gallery anyone can enter their artwork into it)
They are unfriendly to people who antagonize them for being republican i'll put it like that
