    I worked at a library reference desk where I would give information to people. Once a man pulled out a little spiral bound notebook like yours and took notes as I talked. I was impressed. Turned out he was a journalist. We can act as language journalists.

    I feel like some of these words that wouldn’t be a part of my active vocabulary, I’d forget so easily😭 but great going!

    Hi, I just would like to add something
    La escala = the scaling (like the scaling of surface or area)
    And "the climbing" would be "la escalada" :D
    Well done! I didn't know what "el lugar con solera" means, thank you I learnt something new xD! The Spanish from Spain has some words that we don't know in Latin America so it's interesting to learn some more vocabulary from Spain :)

      Oohh, I see now. Thank you for this tip!! :) Regarding Spanish from Spain vs Latin America, it's difficult to know, when I learn a new word, whether it's specific to a certain region or whether it's universal. I didn't realize "un lugar con solera" is particularly Spain-Spanish!

    Hello! La palabra solera en español puede tener muchos significados pero según el contexto al que parece referirse la frase "Lugar con solera" es el carácter tradicional de las cosas, usos, costumbres, etc. The word "solera" in Spanish can have many meanings but according to the context to which the phrase "Place with solera" seems to refer, it is the traditional character of things, uses, customs, etc.

    Muro = wall
    Muralla (mur-alla, a kind of muro) = Rampart
    Amurallar (to build a muralla) = to fortify
