I would expect carrier based bombers like the Avenger or Dauntless since those were the main force during Midway itself.. or possibly the B-25, they did launch those off Carriers... SOMEHOW
Midway is an island airfield and its plenty big enough for the beast. I'm more interested in the TBF and SBD, the latter especially is a superb multirole aircraft and being a gunner in a dive bomber never gets old. I'm also interested in how they portray the Brewster Crapcan and if they do the P-38E or G, and any crossplay with BOS/BOM
Currently the engine can't manage 4 engine planes, so they'll have to work on it. On the other hand most likely we will have G4M for the Japanese, and maybe B-26 for the US, so there's that ^^

That way they would would need less armor , could encourage each other, and help each other if wounded. Thedownside side was one good hit usually took out the whole crew.
Probably not much. The whole point of explosives for a long time has been making them only go off when you want them to. Look at C4, you can beat the shit out of it, shoot it, microwave it, or set it on fire, and it still won't detonate.

From what I understand bombs in the WWII era had either a little screw attached to a propellor that, when flown through the air, would unscrew and allow the reaction to occur. Or there was a firing pin that, when the hit the ground, it would detonate. A cover would be over the pin before dropped, and either the crew would remove it before the drop, or there would be a system for the aerodynamic forces would remove the cover. Nevertheless, I would refrain from shooting the bomb.

Don't worry about turning the sound up, there's all three speaker volume and system volume and media player volume for a reason. Its not so much an issue with it being loud when you can turn system volume down and get fine control, its more when the volume is low and can't go any higher that's the problem

Hi Bismarck. I know you don't like modern flight sims because modern jets have no character/soul, but I was wondering if you've heard about BMS Falcon? Its a free development of the original Falcon 4.0, a game which probably has the most complete and dynamic campaign of any flight sim ever. So much so that is the closest you can feel to being one small pilot in part of a much bigger conflict. To my mind, that adds a lot of character, and the F-16 is an interesting multi-role aircraft with a lot of depth. I was wondering if you've tried it, and if so, what you think of it.
I would love to try this on VR, just put a chair down and act like that navigator, just moving my body around and having a good look around the plane, I would be so happy.

Essentially what etc7 said. I saw the white/blueish sheen on the belly, the wing's shape and it was coming from the east. So clearly a Russian and most likely a Yak.
That's a pity, I think the some of your videos with the band of 'highly trained experts' in this clip are some of the funniest things of seen on YT. That aside do you think would the history, technicalities and training of aircraft gunners in WW2 would make an interesting subject?
Bis the Hydra statistics report has come in; your crew survival rate is about as low as it gets. The sacrifice is noted, but High Command feels it would be preferable to achieve the tasks set. Is there a particular reason for these rates?

In 1946, some of the Ju-88s had a dive-bombing sight mounted there, from above.
Afaik that's an alternative place for the sight, often seen on nightfighters.

Once you play enough of a game with no HUD targetting you get used to identifying pixels lol.

Will this game ever have a Pacific expansion? Being able to fly a B5N, B6N, SBD etc. Would be awesome. I love torpedo bomber planes especially.
