- Texas A&M vs. Clemson: The No.1 Tigers got a big home win over No.12 Texas A&M, 24-10. Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence passed for 268 yards and was responsible for 2 touchdowns. Wide receiver Justyn Ross had 7 receptions for 94 yards and a touchdown. The Tigers' defense was stout, holding the Aggies to 289 total yards and 10 points.
I am an Aggie fan. But I do have lots of respect for Clemson. And I was so glad when Clemson defeated Alabama in the Rose Bowl. Now my thoughts about Trevor Lawrence. WOW!!!! he has to be the best QB I have seen in a long time. He is awesome.
It wasn’t the Rose Bowl. It was the 49ers stadium.

@@bacardibum look up tape on Mahomes and Watson in college. They didnt look nfl ready at all. Mahomes had his arm and that's it. He would frequently throw off balance, not setting his feet or going through his progressions like a QB should. Even in the nfl, Mahomes makes a couple reads before scrambling then making a big play. Reed couldnt coach that out of him, but why bother at this point if it works with such a loaded offense.
People thought Watson had a weak arm, but he proved everyone wrong there. One thing they overlooked was how much of a winner he was. Still, he played like a college mobile quarterback. THe kind that dont translate into success in the nfl. Like Tebow or Manziel. Trubisky's whole college offense was the most nfl ready. They ran the west coast, where Trubisky had to go through his progressions and make a play. Given his athletic ability and this offense, plenty had him as the number 1 qb. Even the browns tried to trade up for him and the chiefs thought highly of him when their scouts questioned him. If they didnt have Smith to teach Mahomes for a year I think they would have gone with trubisky, all things considered
Texas A&M will win some big games this year. Why does the SEC keep underestimating Clemson? Ill bet A&M wins two out three against auburn, lsu and alabama.

Clemson has 2 Power-5 SEC teams (TAMU & SCAR) and 1 CUSA team (UNCC) on their non-conference schedule for the year.
Please list 3 other contending Power-5 programs who have a comparable lineup. I'll wait.

Bama has the weakest schedule I've seen them have in years, and they have Clemson's best opponent (Texas A&M), 2 top 10 teams, then most likely a top 5 UGA.

I would definitely prefer prime FSU, UM, etc. My main point is that you can't fault Clemson for the other teams being trash. But I don't think you're doing that so we're good!

Mind is pretty good. He’s playing against the best defense in college football. Aggies need a better offensive line, better pass blocking running backs like they had with Johnny Football. Mathews was an animal!
After he missed Buckley on that wide open post route, I knew the Ags were in for a long day. Mond tends to shy away during big moments. Until he snaps out of it the Ags will always be mediocre. Clemson physically beat us and it shows by the number of injuries of the D.

Been to games at Florida State, Michigan, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Clemson and a few others. The atmosphere in Death Valley was better and more intense than all but Lincoln.

The Clemson D goes the better part of 6 consecutive quarters against "elite" SEC West teams Alabama (January) and Texas A&M...without giving up a TD. It's not always about the offense lighting up the scoreboard....especially considering how our offense usually comes out of the gates slow (somewhat by design) early in seasons. Auburn two straight Septembers (2016, 2017) and Texas A&M two straight Septembers (2018, 2019). We typically start hitting the offensive throttle in October.
@@markwest8960 Clemson does need to play better tho, ive been a Clemson fan my whole life born and raised in sc. But so far the youngins on the dline need to shape up, and our linebackers need to be quicker to diagnose, I know it'll come throughout the season. But I do see room for improvement

And it kinda explains why Logan Rudolph was getting more snaps before Xavier went down. Tyler Davis is a surprise if u go back and watch the game he was dominating the middle. Even pancaked acouple of linemen. We gotta get sharp for when we play bama, we have to win the trenches

Man, I swear being an Aggie fan, I just can’t trust Kellen Mond at qb. He looks lost every freaking down and is slower than molasses to get the ball snapped.
DId you not see our recievers drop his passes and plus mond barely had time to throw the ball. The reason we snap the ball late is to control the clock and shorten the game. Thats apart of jimbos plan to not get blown out.

UNC and BC are both on the rise and could be trap games for Clemson, especially at Chapel Hill, NC. BC at Clemson could be close too. SC at Willy B could be end of regular season exam. Then we could have a rematch against UNC in the ACC CC. Syracuse was suppose to be the "trap game" but I don't think so any longer. ACC is better this year - just watch.

Terrence LaMont Bellows I agree he won’t win the Heisman. The difference between this year and last year is that he sat last year and more time to get acquainted to his offense and playbook. He hasn’t had as much time to clean everything up this year. I was at this game, he missed some throws, threw a couple bad balls. The thing is he’s coachable. They certainly won’t get beat during the regular season and I think they only get better over the course of this season. The entire team was sloppy in the first quarter once they got it going though they did not stop.

People can say what they want about what's out of the control of Clemson....their conference schedule, but they do have all Power 5 schools to start the reason while breaking in all brand new starters on D-line and mostly all new staters at LB. No Texas State, no Lamar, no New Mexico State, no Charleston Southernn, no Arkansas State, no Murray State etc in their first 3 games while they break in new players/starters. Bama, A&M, SC, Georgia....I'm talking to you.
